As a mgmt/analytics consultant I just want the day to end so I go back home pet my cat and play some game/watch some movie or catch up with a bunch of fuckers I call friends.
And... Holds true for most of the guys I know

Analytics consulting?
Are you really calling fractal and mu sigma consultants fckers? U must be in their sub par group.
Bold of you to look down on other companies while having a stealth tag. What I meant was that I started as an analytics consultant then moved to mgmt consulting at big 3 and then to my current role. The only sub par thing here is your attitude.

I am asking about MBB folks. PWC is not management consulting in true sense.

Alphas don't go to consulting. Alphas like high risk high reward jobs like quant Trading or entrepreneurship. Consulting is for people who like stability and where career growth only depends on hard work and there is no risk involved.

Management Consultants are one of the most useless jobs in the world.
They solely exist so that CEOs can offload bad decisions to external companies. The amount of harm done by McK/BCG/Bain to employees and their welfare is uncountable. This extends to their clients too who gain short term profits but lose out in the long term.
Enterprise management is just a game of shifting blame. That's what these companies do.

Well I depend on the reports these guys publish to convince my leadership for items on my roadmap so can’t bash them here 🤣. I have been interested in management consulting for a while not due to the job but their hiring framework. I have also met a lot of management folks, some of them are like fresh graduates but don’t know an ounce of inner working of business but have some level of arrogance which I have not seen before. Some of them are very humble and you learn something new every time you interact.
