Does a second MBA make sense ?
I have done my MBA from a tier 3 institute and find it a little difficult to make into strategic positions in my organisation. Has anyone found themselves in a similar situation in the past ? If yes then what was your roadmap to get into strategic positions in your organisation. Does the second MBA ( especially an executive one from tier 1 institute) make sense. Would love to listen to different perspectives here.
Probably no, try to create impact and level up in your career. The opportunity cost is extremely harsh.

Are they of any help apart from knowledge one gains ?
If you don't have much work ex yet (still under 2-3 years) then it makes sense to do from a tier 1 mba. And I feel a full time 1 year program would be better than executive in that sense. Otherwise no, you can keep continuously upskilling, constantly interviewing and keep making relevant switches to boost your designation/income.

Plan is to get into one year MBA program in either ISB or IIM A,B,C,K after 3 years of work experience
To my best knowledge, IIMA doesn't take below 5-year work ex in their 1-year programme.

Going for an executive MBA might help!
