Early Career Advice
Hello everyone I am a new grad from a Tier-1 institute and would be joining a management consulting firm in Nov. I wanted to ask suggestions regarding what I could do these 3 months to upskill myself as well as learn something productive. I know doing an internship sounds a safe bet or GMAT/CAT prep but want a different perspective and choice. Looking forward to your opinions.
As far as upskilling is concerned- you can learn power BI/sql/python etc to increase your employability
Thanks a lot, I am actually thinking about GMAT over CAT since I am not thinking about doing a MBA rn. Also could you suggest some more technical/soft skills specifically for consulting
Just learn how to make pretty slides and storytelling. That's all you need to climb up the corporate ladder in consulting. Also, learn excel
You will join management consulting means you have figured it out. Just follow your heart after that. You will be just fine.
Gmat/cat whatever is your goal
Management consulting doesn't leave you with enough time and energy to take on any other task
