Feeling sad and alone
I am 32 and realized that no one supports me mentally. My parents did everything for me when I was small. But now when I think they never cared about my mental health since long time. Like they imposed on me on things on the choice of degree, life partner, what I should eat, where I should, my friends circle, where to invest and everything. Everything is still fine. But whenever I have issues or I am sad or depressed and try to share with them they completely ignore my problem. Only their problems in life are valid. Never mine. Do u guys face this. And how do u handle.

yes right and it choice as well..it is hard to choose or prioritze your things over parents or any close peoples things (I'm talking about valid things not things like which are unwanted or which can causes damage).
Sometimes it happens you are tend and forced by situations to give up upon your choices. Not everyone has same situations in life..many people just grind into that and become victims.if someone even do tiny things for you it becomes expectations for them that it will be returned back to them by the person whom they did. And it is very general behaviour we see in day today lives. It is good to have but choice of career, life patner, personal space so on things should be given to everyone.
But nothing is late when you get feel for yourself it's your call .

Your mental health is your responsibility my friend. Parents don't understand these things and mostly can't help you. Go visit a good therapist, they will help you out.
Hi, one question though. What do you usually tell the therapist about? I've never been to a therapist.

Or maybe you never separate yourself as an individual. Also, agreed to what they want. It's not their problem. It is up to you to take your happiness and thought process responsibility without being bothered about their likes and dislikes.
Parents are a tricky entity that you have to manage in your life, just like other stakeholders.
Prioritise your life and happiness. If your parents "don't get it", let them be an insignificant stakeholder.
