Fi neobank

Do you guys use fi as an alternate/primary account. It does give amazing cashback/coins depending on the plan you are enrolled in. I found it very rewarding. Atleast the coins are useful unlike the cred coins 😂 If someone wants to know more about it, happy to share. Others who are using can share the feedback. In case you find it useful, you can DM for referral.

It's my secondary account for the last 3y, been there since beta. But I only use it for revenge.

They poached a good teammate of mine in 2019. Since then I have hated everything about Fi.

The website shows a team with smug faces and quirky hobbies.

Run by out of touch ivy league founders who think millenials want to invest ₹1 when random cricketers score runs.

Somehow raised a shitton of money for an app that is a new UI for a federal account. The FD is shit, the loans are shit, many better apps for investing.

So I rack up the credit card bill to the max every month, GETTING LAKHS OF POINTS. And I repay it on time, all the time. And then I claim all the headphones and vouchers.

They will not make one paise from me. And I will milk it as much as I can. I'm just that petty.

I like it , but the credit card seems a bit of an investment as of now

It's not a bad proposition though. You can opt for a custom limit depending on your purchase needs. I find paying credit card bills through fi debit card extremely rewarding.

Fancy UI over Federal bank. Just that atleast you can trust a bank not this tech wrapper. Trying to sell everything (loan, cards) and with shitty coins that are as useless as paytm points or the cred ones.

Nothing comes close to hdfc or icici. Websites are bit old but the functionality and service is top notch.

I guess it's use case dependent. I use the debit card only to pay my credit card bills through Paytm. You get 4x coins and they can be redeemed for Amazon voucher. Conversion is ~ 3:1

There refund mechanism is broken. I paid at a POS once through Fi UPI, the payment went through but was later reversed. I got written mail from the POS receiver bank that money was reversed to Fi (Federal) along with transaction IDs etc. Fi did not give a damn about it. 400rs in vain. It could be 4L for someone using it as primary acc.

Which bank for salaried account?

Hi, I'm a fresher. I want to know, are there any benefits of having a salaried account in a particular bank? If so, which ones do you suggest would be the best one. My office has a tie-up with HDFC bank.

Zero benefits. It's a basic banking product. HDFC is as good as anything else.
