First Car Advice: Financing

Hi, we are thinking of buying a new car in Bangalore and contemplating on whether to buy in cash or on loan. Considering the traffic conditions, we only want a small car like i10 or Tiago. We do have cash on hand to buy a decent hatchback or sedan upto 10L. It will not burn all our savings for sure. However, I have seen so many people still buying on loan even though they have cash. Would be interested in knowing what makes more sense for others. Especially want to understand if there are other benefits of loan apart from credit building. Other suggestions on car models are also welcome! TIA.

Next month I'll (26M) be taking a personal loan of 10L to pay off my family's borrowings. 1. Any tips on managing the loan? 2. I have a good credit score so I can get it through a national bank like HDFC, SBI, etc. 3. Shall I pay it off in one instant in future or keep paying EMIs? I say one time payment because we plan to sell some property in future to get liquidity. 4. Anything else I should take care of? I have savings of around 5L and I have a stable job for next 6-12 months (it's a startup so things are lil shaky right now). I plan to find freelance projects and increase my income. But this is the first time I will be taking a formal loan so it seems like a big and long commitment. Thanks!

Hello Everyone, Need some guidance as to buy a new or old car. To give some context regarding my dilemma: I don't have any experience whatsoever in cars. But I keep reading blogs/articles from TeamBHP and watch couple of YouTube channels just to keep in touch with what's happening in the world of cars/Automobiles. Backstory: During corona, my mother insisted me to buy a second hand car as I was staying at home and we could visit nearby religious places. I kept searching in my hometown(Manually + olx) but could not get a proper car at decent price. So I just dropped it. And while having some conversations with my mother, I yelled at her(I feel VERY 😞 BAD) saying I will never buy a car, as it is a liability. She left it at that. Then restrictions cleared and I had to go back to office. Current Day My mother works as a school teacher and she will be retiring this October. So I'm thinking to give her a car(Either Second hand or First hand) as her retirement gift 😊. I don't know whether to go for a new one or used one, as I myself don't know driving. I have just been to driving classes(That too in 2020) and don't have confidence to drive in Bangalore. I'm thinking to keep the car in my hometown and keep a driver for taking my parents to wherever they want to visit. Plus whenever I come back here, I can learn driving. Plus me and wife can take it for long drives back to Bangalore and keep it for couple of months for taking it out on weekends(For learning driving). Currently this is what I'm thinking: For new one: Budget is upto 10Lakhs(On road) For used one: Preferably less than 5 Lakhs. That is, If I get a good deal. Should I go for a new one or old used one? Kindly help me in deciding 🙏

I am planning to buy a house(but in my mother's name) maybe at the end of 2024 so I wanted to have some clarity on the questions below. House price = 100 + other charges? Suppose somehow if I have 70 to buy the same house and I need remaining 30 + other charges. 1. How to get a loan for the remaining amount considering the house won't be in my name? 2. Will I get a house loan? 3.Do I need to apply for a personal loan? Please share your thoughts🙏

My Bank BOB is not giving me personal loan they are saying that as if now you are not eligible for this benifit. So where should I go for this ? Plz recommend any good other bank or fin-tech.

Hi I have booked a newly launched property from a grade A builder. I am planning to take a home loan of around 1 CR for the same, the builder from whom I am buying the property is strongly advising to apply through their contact person (who is a Direct sourcing agent) who has tie ups with multiple banks like hdfc , SBI, axis etc. The builder is saying that the person will help get the loan amount disbursed on time and help with documentation better. That person is recommending SBI. I also connected with a hdfc home loan department person and he is suggesting I should go through him. Can someone please suggest whom I should go ahead with? Also which bank is better and why? Also the expected interest rates and other charges? My cibil score is around 755. I am the first time buyer and hence unknown in this area Any help will be much appreciated

Am plannjng to buy first car i.e SUV in Bangalore city. Budget: 20L. Variant: Mid or Top. Transmission: Automatic. Use: 70% City / Office and 30% for weekend outings. Have taken test drive for Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Toyota Hyryder. Will buy through company lease (ORIX). Have watchin YT videos on car reviews and really confused in Creta & HyRyder. Am confused which to buy? Open for suggestions…
