Flat hunting in bangalore
I’m looking for a 1/2BHK in a society near HSR. The ones around Sarjapur Road and HSR are super expensive, while ones towards Electronic City are comparatively cheaper. Do you prefer paying a higher rent to compromise on travel time, or compromise on travel and stay in a better flat at the same price.
What are the rents?
Can you please share the number?
Even my friend is looking out for flats.

You can live cheaper on the boundaries of HSR (still in HSR) in independent houses for rent below 18k for 1 BHK (I know friends living there), and not compromise on travel time. Like they live 5min walk from BDA complex, third wave cafe etc.
Way to househunt is to get many agent contacts in HSR, talk to them about requirements and agree to a visit drive with them. There are too many brokers and each have very few leads, so need patience and persistence trying one broker after the other. It's not breeze as house hunting with a broker in NCR.
Only caveat is lack of easy parking, or not as convenient if you have a family with kids.
Do you think, taking a NoBroker subscription is worth for flat hunting?
No. I'm in a community group of our undergrad college and we usually share such subscriptions over there so i would use that before buying if needed. Try that once.

Where exactly any landmark?
If you already have a location in mind, then you can connect with housing agents in HSR, Bangalore and see if they have any ½ BHK flats available. The traffic has always been an issue in Bangalore. But, if your workplace is near HSR, then it is better to look for a place to stay in a society near HSR. You can also check out some semi-furnished flat options, which would reduce your cost of living as compared to the fully-furnished flats. There are many 1 BHK independent houses near HSR for rent. These houses are cheaper than the flats in the HSR society and you can save travel time as well. Remember, house hunting in Bangalore can be confusing if you’re not sorted with your requirements. It's better to list down your requirements and contact as many agents as possible to find the right accommodation.
