The idea is to help people build a brand for themselves so that they can sell their services to people who are in genuine need of help and/or mentorship. If you are helping people for free, that is not acceptable by us, because we believe people should only help people for money. 

P.S. We will only accept sob stories, and if you do not have a sob story, we will help you create one.

I see a lot of folks with just 1.5-2 yoe getting promoted to "Senior Software Enginner".

Companies like Razorpay, Swiggy, Meesho comes in mind.

What should be the industry standard for being considered to be a "Senior"?

"Senior" designation seems inflated

Is it just mine or is everyone’s LinkedIn blowing up with absolute crap. Like the most basic thing people are posting and making it sound like they discovered something huge or they’ve found some crazy insights. 

Everyone is trying to build their own LinkedIn brand and it’s just become frustrating. 

A lot of recruiters/founders still put out hiring posts on LinkedIn 

Some funny posts - 

- All founders acting like they’ve achieved something huge by being on the Forbes/times now/etc 40 under 40 list 
- Today someone posted about the business model of Shyamji Chole Bhature 
- People copy pasting the same fake stories

I remember coming across the entire interview 4-5 years ago, sharing a small snippet below

Chamath is relatable because he also comes from nowhere, and has had a phenomenal career. But the way he puts his thought process across. 

The way he explains that it’s a skewed world, but here’s what you can do to do well in it.

I know there’s ways to criticise this approach. My commie friends would. But soaking it in, acting on it, was one of the things that mattered.
I keep coming back to it and hope it adds value to your day/week/life.
