What the heck is happening with Linkedin?

Is it just mine or is everyone’s LinkedIn blowing up with absolute crap. Like the most basic thing people are posting and making it sound like they discovered something huge or they’ve found some crazy insights. Everyone is trying to build their own LinkedIn brand and it’s just become frustrating. A lot of recruiters/founders still put out hiring posts on LinkedIn Some funny posts - - All founders acting like they’ve achieved something huge by being on the Forbes/times now/etc 40 under 40 list - Today someone posted about the business model of Shyamji Chole Bhature - People copy pasting the same fake stories

I get the idea of marketing yourself is the key factor here but do you think over all that just degrades the quality of content and makes a bad platform as any other ?

People are just writing random posts just for the sake of it. This idea of LinkedIn Influencers is so bullshit. Also , this is not directed towards a single individual but to the whole community.

Why do people add each other on linkedin but never respond when you reach out to them for help? Is it just me or happens to most people?

Most of the people just keep adding so many irrelevant pictures to their posts!! I mean what do they get out of it. If it’s anything to do with regards to the picture, I understand. Other than that, it has become a trend to add photos to the posts. They say they will have greater reach and greater views. It’s so annoying. I don’t understand the difference between Instagram and LinkedIn. Most of the time I feel Instagram is better than LinkedIn. All these so called entrepreneurs have also started doing this shit and feels 😖😣

Moreover, HR professionals sometimes request comments like "yes" and "interested" without providing a direct link to apply, promising to "get back to you soon" but rarely doing so. LinkedIn's feed also appears inundated with content geared towards gaining followers rather than delivering valuable insights. While there is a demand for followers, it often comes at the expense of substantial content. It's a situation that can be disheartening for those seeking genuine job opportunities and meaningful engagement on professional platforms. Have you noticed this as well, or is it just me? I'd appreciate hearing your perspective on the matter.

With most irrelevant pictures, they keep spamming everyone. Worst is they get 1000+ likes from “vulnerables” those who never read the text ;) Fir kehte hai objectify na karo.

Engagement profiteering and sympathy farming off someone's passing away is just pathetic and shameful. They will stoop to any level if it gets them a few hundred likes and increases conversion to their actual business. Stop gathering sympathy using the poor fellow please!
