Gave 500 to an old lady outside St John's hospital for buying medicines
Hi, as I was getting out of the hospital, an old lady unable to walk properly approached me and said she doesn't have money to buy BP, Sugar meds. She said that they didn't have the prescibed meds inside and I believed it. I was in a hurry so I didn't check if she was lying or now. I felt bad and gave her 500 rupees. Was I scammed? I, anyway, am writing this off as charity, but just wanted to know if it was legit or not.
Scammed.
Diabetes meds have universal availability & the generics are super cheap. Next time, ask what meds and see the prescription to ensure you don't lose more money.

Yes, okay.
Don't think too much as your intention was to help. Just be aware that these kind of medicines are available at PM janaushadhi shops and costs less.. may be around rs. 100 is enough for one month prescription of diabetes and bp
