Google on Tuesday launched its Gemini app in India with support for nine Indian languages and English, giving users an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to answer queries by typing, talking, or uploading an image. The app and Gemini Advanced, which gives users access to Google's most capable AI models, will help people access information and complete tasks in their preferred language, said the technology giant in a blog post. Just tried Gemini Advanced and I'm totally impressed. Better reasoning when compared to GPT4. I tried different topics and it was really good. I wasn't expecting much conversational style like GPT 4 but felt very decent. But I'm badly missing ChatGPTs audio transcription features and voice conversation feature 😭 Did you try it? How is your company trying to navigate the issue of AI. Today my boss was shown preview of Gemini which google will publicly launch between October to December and he was mind blown by how far AI has come. I have a friend working in Amazon, Seattle and his team is working on automating customer support in most of the language which will be public by early next year. Given computing bottlenecks will be sorted out by Q3 2024, I am expecting tsunami change in how white collar jobs operates. What are some good initiatives your team is taking to deal with AI?

Literally Google has the entire internet in its system and they been using it for search for decades.. Still why can't their LLMs perform better than a new comer like ChatGPT? What am I missing here?
