Grapevine Monetization
What is Grapevine's monetizing route? So far, I didn't see any buy button in Grapevine. Would they be going the ad route or Blind route?
Seems like they are currently focused on acquisition and will slowly charge people to keep their identities hidden.
What could be other ways they could monetize?

Bad product managers, focus on monetisation, great product managers, focus on retention

Agreed. How long would someone take before thinking about monetization?
You can focus on retention without pushing the paywall down the users throat. But not having one after this long surprises me.
Really looking forward to how they plan to monetize the platform.

Just like reddit they can put ads and sell avatars. They can also provide more job info etc for pro account.
Multiple ways - job boards, buy DMs, can go B2B route too
Its early stage for monetisation though, focus should be acquisition, engagement and retention. Min 1 mil users before they can think of monetisation imo
GV is a hybrid version of Reddit & LinkedIn. It can only grow if the communities become stronger and retain users. Monetization can be done multiple ways:
1. Community buy-in: pay to be in exclusive group
2. Job referral and professional growth
3. Top GV creator & subscriber economy
4. Substack subscription model
5. Corporate News as a service
6. Discovering sectoral experts
The options are countless. You can monetise anyway if you got a strong community on a platform.
