Guidance Required : How to sell my tech course ?

Looking for pointers on how to supplement my salary through short term projects or consultations. I can easily spare 2-3 hours a week. In the past, I have taken up consulting calls via research and insights agencies to share insights on my area of expertise. But these calls are ad hoc and far in between and I want to regularize the cash flow. Will appreciate the guidance.

Is it just me or lately too many instagram ads I have been seeing selling courses ranging from AI, FE, BE, Data science, SQL, from today even some courses teaching power BI and all started appearing in my feed. Looks like so called tech influencer are trying to cash in on the current market conditions by selling their courses. Has anyone else seen this trend?

I have been on this journey for a long time now. Lots of failure comes with loads of learning. Why engineers can’t be engineers? Such hard selling of courses is really becoming painful on LinkedIn nowadays. Instead of spending time on tech content, these sellers build random stories. Please save yourself from such sellers.

Disclaimer this is not a rant or this has nothing to put in bad way someones hard work. With so many ppl making tutorials and selling courses online, I had my few observations. I welcome ppl to join on this discussion with their point of views as well. The most important things is you need a solid company name on your resume, doesn’t matter what work you might have done there. Everyone knows the meatiest work in google is done at west coast office(just an example). This gives you the starting point, I would not disagree to the fact that these guys put on the hard work to crack the interviews, but that doesn’t mean you start selling a dream to everyone. It will be like what harshad mehta did to his clients during the days. If a person is working in some unknown company and even though the person teaches really well, I bet there will be hardly any takers for his/her course. Teaching is an art as per me, not everyone can be a great teacher. There are some good ones out there but majority of them don’t fall under above category. I would say they are social media influencers with a bit of tech knowledge. We have already lost a generation with rot learning and now with the rise of these ppl, the day is not far way when a person aceing the interview knows jack shit when given an actual problem to solve at workplace.

What side hustles do you guys do to earn some extra cash, and how do you do it? Is there some easy way to get started without necessarily moonlighting?

So I just exited my first venture, raised some money from pedigree foreign players, almost died 3 times and finally exited decently. Discounting 2 years of covid it was a good 4 year journey. I am thinking to create like a 0 to 1 course having everything from idea validation, basics of branding, how to file TDS and GST yourself, getting first clients and scaling to 1. What does the junta think of it? And what would be a good price one would be willing to pay?
