@daddad Those courses are of no use in getting a job support. One of my friend did this course from IITM and they were like unable to provide any job. Even I did from Upgrad in Data Science and Analytics and they faked. They are unable to provide even a normal 4 Lpa salary.

I tbh wasn't expecting any placement assistance. I heard that this course is good to at least get started. But thanks for this insight I actually wanted to know about this. But can you pls ask your friend how tough was qualifier round was and where he studied?

@daddad He took the course which cost him around 60k and was virtual in weekends mostly and he faced problems because the lecturers where changed on the same subject. I hope you understand that how difficult it becomes when you are settled with one lecturer and all of a sudden in next class you see another person teaching you. And he cleared the tests and got the certification also. He is from Mechanical background.

I have an MBA in finance and I'm currently working as a QA data analyst at Wells Fargo.
I have a previous 1 year 3 months workex as an Android developer in a startup company (I'm a CS undergrad).

The current role I'm working in requires coding in python to automate Excel files we get to check certain data standards for compliance and validate Excel files based on some standards. Mostly even manual validation of excel files. 

I want to switch my job to work in good ML projects with finance as my domain, for this I have made a strategy:
1. Get a FRM level 1 certification (for the CV to get shortlisted)
2. Learn ML on Kaggle and solve problem sets as a way to prepare for the interviews of ML roles.
3. I'm considering to get an FDP certification as well. (https://fdpinstitute.org/Curriculum-Overview)

My concerns now are:
1. Is the above a valid startegy to crack a fin ML role? (please suggest if anything better)
2. Is FDP a good certification (I know it's not much heard of, but the curriculum is good)
3. What kind of companies and roles can I apply for if add these CV points and if I can get skilled in the above? 

Please do give me your inputs. Any kind of suggestions are appreciated.

After talking to some data analyst on linkden (some of them pivoted to this role from non-tech background, rest had done their b.tech or masters in statistics and then pivoted to D.A).
