Have you ever resigned without an offer in hand?

Have u ever resigned without any offer in hand? If yes what was the reason and how things went ahead??

Is it necessary to have more than one offer given the current situation in the market. I am a bit scared now. Don't have the energy to interview more.

Hello everyone! I have 8 years of experience as a software QA and am currently looking for job opportunities outside my company. I’ve been applying to jobs regularly on platforms like Naukri and LinkedIn, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any responses yet. I believe this might be due to my 90-day notice period. 🤔 I’m considering resigning without having another offer in hand. What are your thoughts on this? Is it a good idea? So I’ve been working as a Backend Software Engineer. Recently, my manager left the company and I’ve been assigned a new manager. Not to boast but I’m decent at my job and able to find better solutions than my peers, my old manager ignited this passion for problem solving in me. This new manager is really toxic he pass comments on my colleagues (Same level as me) you have short term memory loss, badam khaya kro and shit! He’s always chasing girls in office. There is one girl in my team he acts like a different person in front of her (although she treats him really bad because she thinks he’s a creep). So a few days back, I was working on something with some other manager who knew the context to the problem (there is an internal npm package my company has which only few developers have contributed to, I recently made my contribution to that package) and this new manager has never made any contribution to that package so he started telling the other manager that this guy(Says my name) is very slow and the other managers defends me instantly saying he’s the fastest in the team. I’m really pissed tho. I want to do something about this guy. He has been doing such things for past month and always tells the sob story of how much he has struggled in life. Need suggestions on how to tackle this? PS: I’ve asked my parents if I can resign they are fine with it but I don’t want to resign in this bad market without an offer

Hi All, Please share your experience if you have resigned ever within 3months (or upto 6 months) of taking the job ? If Yes, what compelled you to? And how did it affect the further job search ?

I joined TCS 3yrs ago and since then I couldn't switch. I am planning since last year March but actually not able to work on it. Even I couldn't apply actively. Currently I am involved in a role which has nothing to do with development and I feel bit less confident. So I want to know why it is so hard to leave? Does everyone feel same? Is this ecosystem somewhat responsible for this?

So I’ve only been at my job for 3 months & don’t get me wrong, I love a lot of it, but even before I started, I knew it wasn’t something I wanted to do long term. The position is EXTREMELY underpaid for all of the work you have to do & stress you deal with. Do I continue to work here so it looks good on a resume or do I begin to seek happiness in a new job that is long term & better paying?

My current job is consuming me completely. I don't get to upskill myself. Therefore, I am stuck in this vicious cycle where I want to leave my organization to work in a better environment along with skilled colleagues. However, to do this, I will have to upskill myself. Would love to hear your experience if you have been in a similar situation. How did things turn out for you eventually?

I am thinking of leaving my current job and focus on myself, getting to know myself better etc. Currently I have enough money saved for my expenses for next 6-8 months. Everyone I have asked about this say don't leave your job if you don't have another lined up, in this tech winter. I understand their view point. It aligns with what my parents think as well. Is there anyone who has had done this in the past? Do you recommend this route? Are the consequences far too severe? Does anyone have a different opinion from one stated above?

I have resigned without an offer in hand and I just mentioned that it would be difficult for me to commit fully during the notice period as I have prepare. Also I have asked for remote work during the time. Now I am worried that they would fire without paying anything.. how legal or valid are my negotiating terms.
