- These unprecedented temperatures follow a series of monthly heat records, with every month since June last year being the warmest on record.
- C3S data indicates that global temperatures are now the highest they have been in around 125,000 years due to climate change driven by fossil fuels and deforestation.
- Scientists warn that we are in uncharted territory and expect new records in the coming months and years.
- The urgency for G20 nations to adopt policies for renewable energy and phase out fossil fuels is more critical than ever to avoid catastrophic climate impacts.

Our summers are becoming dangerous with every passing day, gone are the days of your childhood where 35degreed  would be peak of the day.
It's not even April yet and the temperature is barely going below 30s even at night, and it's not specific to one place, across the India whoever I talk to shares the same experience,
And the sad part is it's only going to get worse, more trees will be cut down to build highways and infrastructure to sustain our population and its needs, we still have to pull out 100s of million people out of acute low income level.
Global warming will be our biggest challenge in the following decades.

Summer is here! While we enjoy the warmth and sunshine, it's essential to prioritize our health during these hot months. Here are some tips to help you beat the heat and stay healthy:

*Stay Hydrated*: Drink plenty of water (at least 8-10 glasses a day) and other fluids like coconut water, juices, and herbal teas. Avoid caffeine and alcohol as they can dehydrate you further.

*Dress Smart*: Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothes made of breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, or silk. Avoid dark colors and opt for light, pastel shades that reflect the sun's rays.

*Protect Your Skin*: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 before stepping out. Reapply every 2 hours or after swimming or sweating. Wear a hat, sunglasses, and seek shade when the sun is strongest (11am-3pm).

*Beat the Heat*: Stay indoors during peak sun hours, use cooling packs or wet towels to cool down, and take cool showers or baths to bring down your body temperature.

*Eat Right*: Include cooling foods like salads, fruits, yogurts, and cucumbers in your diet. Avoid heavy, spicy, or oily foods that can increase body heat.

*Rest and Relax*: Get enough sleep (7-8 hours) and take breaks to rest and relax. Avoid strenuous activities during peak sun hours.

So, I'm facing a bit of a dilemma here. You know those pesky power cuts? Yeah, they're becoming a regular thing. 
Now, I've got this inverter doing its thing for the whole house, but honestly, I just need a quick fix for one room. You know, keep the lights on, the Wi-Fi humming, and maybe the cooler fan running for a few hours. 
Any bright ideas on what I could snag to make that happen? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks a bunch! 🕯️🔌

Summer power cuts

Not sure if I am burning with jealousy or heatwave

I live in the top floor(terrace just above) of a apartment and the heat here is making me crazy.
My bed is hot, my fan isn't giving enough air, it's hot air everywhere.
I in general sweat a lot. When I go to sleep and wake up, my entire bed is wet from sweat and can't sleep for few hours because of the heat.
For the entire day, I am shirtless and still can't take the heat. 
  To make matters worse, electricity goes at anytime even in the middle of the day. That time, it feels like sweat won't stop at all.
  I don't have an AC here or power backup and the heat is fucking with my mental peace. Even the water from the filter is hot water🥲
