Help!! I'm in a weird situation

So just finished my graduation I thought I'll cry about not having a job but I got a freelancing contract as a technical trainer.

I want to become a software engineer, the current contract pays we somewhat 40-50k pm but work is hectic as I need to put a lot of physical labour, But the reason I choose this 1. Current market 2. I didn't want to sit unemployed as personal situation is not that good.

So what should I do? Like continue the same and I'm sure they will pay more cuz I got to from the manager that I have a good explanation skills or try to go get another work even it's paying very less.

The reason I'm asking strangers on the net is bcz it's so complicated that I can't even tell my parents about it....

So guys please if you have a suggestion or personal opinion feel free to give.

IMO you are on a quite good path. Freelancing is supposed to be challanging. Project is new for you, people are new for you. It will take time to get acclimated to the whole system. But once you start delivering and build a good repotation, you will be charging more n more.

My advise is to deliver the best product for them. You will get to learn a lot.

I know money is a concern but as you are a fresher it is not you are much dependent on it.

I worked 12-14 hours when I was a fresher and got paid around 25k pm. Those learning paid well and today I am at ~70 lpa.

So will I have a guilt of not joining a company or if I have to join one in future how can I ?

Why can’t you continue there, but at the same time, be on a lookout for Software Jobs too? I understand that with the work that you get engaged in, you may not get much time to prepare, but then for freshers, the hiring bar is not that high, all you need is a chance. So I would say, keep looking for opportunities too. You should stay in touch with seniors in big MNCs. Many MNCs have pan India freshers recruitment drive based on online test + offline interviews, so you can participate in them once they do that.

I'm trying to lookout for the companies outside but I don't have any senior contacts

You can add people via facebook and LinkedIn too. They don’t really have to be your seniors or friends. For 2023 pass outs, recruitment will happen till 2024 1st half. Right now, job market is not good, but if the situation improves in coming few months, then I am sure companies will do pan-India hiring rounds for freshers as well.

To be honest you can work more as a freelancer than in a job. But depends on how much time you spending on each contract.
