Help selecting B School for PM roles.
My cousin has 2 years of work experience in a DS role. He recently got calls from almost all the old IIMs. He got calls from ABCIL, Kozhikode and Shillong. He wants to move into product management role. I am not sure which of the IIMs offer better PM roles post grad. I told him to opt for Management Consulting roles. He’s been a 9 pointer throughout school and engineering. Had done his in CS from NIT Silchar. It would be really great if folks can help me out here.
ManCon or GenMan is better than PM tbh. I would personally suggest not to get into PM.

I don’t think there’s huge disparity in employers of ABC. Maybe, he can pick a school basis other factors and start focusing (electives & interactions) towards PM roles once he crosses the barrier. His CS background will help him in shortlists.
IMHO, in current times MC to PM route isn’t best, knowledge spectrum is different. MC focuses around direction and PM roles are going towards execution details. Proximity of Bengaluru tech companies can help him decide as one of the parameters.

A will have huge competition for same employers . He should Target B in my opinion and not focus on PM roles . Man consultant or e commerce companies
