Help with PF Transfer

I have recently switched job for the first time. New Hr asked for uan number which I shared. I have also received 2 months of contribution in same UAN account. Some people are saying I need to do a separate process of uan acount transfer?

  1. Do I need to transfer UAN account from previous conpany to new?
  2. If so how?

Switching jobs? No worries! UAN stays the same, it's your friend for life. Just transfer EPF balance online. Simple, isn't it? Now, what's your next career move?

Transfer? Not UAN, buddy. It's your PF balance. Do it online. And tell your new HR. Stop listening to office gossip.

  1. Is it mandatory to transfer balance from previous employer to current employer?
  2. When I share my UAN to current employer.. is that transfer taken care of by hr? Or I have to initiate it?

Go to epfo portal -> online services-> One member one pf -> and fill the details there and submit to your current employer.. they will merge your pf accounts

A new pf account with new pf number will be created under your UAN.

UAN will remain same.

You can transfer amount from your old account to new account online

Or

You can transfer pf amount to your bank account that is also online
