Hello everyone, I am currently in my 4th semester and I am seeking a paid internship starting in August. So far, I haven't secured any internship opportunities, and this would be my first. I have built projects using the MERN stack and Next.js. What steps should I take and how should I approach companies for an internship? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated and helpful for me.

So I started learning JavaScript and Web dev last year and now after building several projects and contributing to open source I've gained pretty good expertise in the field, now in order to learn more and gain real industry experience I am looking for my very first internship opportunity, any kind of help would be very appreciated!

I am a full time college student hence I can only dedicate 4-5 hours per day and my expected stipend is ₹6k-8k.

I'm a 3rd year student looking for internship opportunities in December. I'm looking for potential full stack roles. I tend to work on scalable backend stuff and on the frontend side, I've worked on decent projects (mostly integrating ml models with a frontend). 

The thing is, I'm confused right now. I feel like it's better to start working in a startup as I don't have practical industry experience. My main issue right now is not knowing how to find startups or how to email them, what to include in the email and so on. I'm completely blank and new to applying for jobs and I'm looking for some input here on how to approach this.

Tips on finding startups for internship

I am a computer engineering student from a tier 3 college in Pune. Now that I am in the last couple of months of my 6th semester multiple companies have come to our campus but I haven't gotten an internship. How do i search for internships off campus?
Are there any tips from some experienced people like what do companies look at when giving out internships. Since last month I started applying off campus using linkedin and other websites but I am not getting any callbacks for interviews or even online tests.
Previously I haven't done any internships but have done projects which I have out on my resume.

Please forgive me if the format of this post is wrong, vague or broad. I am writing a grapevine post for the first time.

Looking for a job

So I have completed my B.tech. Now I have to look for Jobs. During the time I was in college(last year), I was Learning MERN stack but it has not been completed yet. Now in online forums, I have heard that MERN stack is getting saturated, and entering it is not good. So what is your opinion? Also is it wise to take some time, I mean like some months (6 or 8 months) to self-learn and land a Job after that? And should I learn on my own or go to some training institute? Can anyone Help me, I need guidance.

Is learning MERN still good in 2024

I am a 2023 passout. My first 3-month internship started in December 2022, where I worked as a Shopify developer using HTML, CSS, jQuery, and its own language, Liquid. I left it since I had no interest in Shopify. I was hired as a React developer, but instead, they gave me Shopify. My second internship was also for 3 months, where they assigned me React Native but paid me too little. I don't have the internship certificate for this. In my third company, they again gave me a 6-month internship with the possibility of full-time later. I am currently working with Node.js, React, Docker, and Jenkins. My internship has been converted to full-time now. What more skills should I explore to increase my package? Currently, I am earning 4 LPA. When I switch, can I show my previous intern experience as an experience? And can the internship in my current company be counted as experience?"

Software Engineer

Greetings everyone, I'm a problem solver with a good grasp of DSA and a Backend Developer with a fair experience of making APIs using NodeJS/Express and MongoDB and scalable backend including an experience of working as an intern in a company.
Kindly help me find an internship or guide me for the same.

Looking for an internship in Backend Development

I am currently in my third year studying computer science and I am confused about what to do next. Here are some quick points about my profile:

- Strong GitHub profile
- Part of Google's summer of code 2023
- Built some interesting projects (tech stack: typescript, postgres, redis)
- I have studied a fair bit of High Level Design (System Design)
- I have a decent leetcode profile (500 questions mostly medium and Hard) (1800 contest rating)
- I also have strong CS fundamentals (DBMS, oop, CN)

I am currently getting interviews from startups but they want 6 month interns and I cannot do such a long internship right now with college. I am only available for a 2 month summer intern (which most startups don't want). I am from a Tier 2 college and we do have some good companies come for placements but I'm not sure about the scenario for next year.

Any tips or advice on what I should focus on? how I should prepare? what kind of companies I should target?
