How did you choose your career?
I worked as an etl developer for 1.6 years, i was good at my work as a fresher but in a long run i am not that much confident to pursue myself in that field as i am not interested in technology. Then i switched to ux/ui designer role as it a non tech role, survived in that role for 1 year and got released due to project budget issue. In that role as well i was overthinking about my career like learning 3d tools which is not my cup of tea. I am so confused in choosing my career, i don't my strengths and weakness and what i want in life.
There's no defined thing in life that what you pick is the one you should continue with.
If you are unsure, it gives you the power to pick anything that you are interested at that point. Be in that field for atleast 1.5yrs. Learn it's ups and downs, see that if even in downs you are having fun, if you are, continue in it.
If not, find out why you aren't happy and if it's related to doing something else, then do it dude.
Find and do what makes you happy! It's your life, you decide what you wanna do! It's fine if others are ahead in life, it's their life, they have figured it out, why compare it with them?
You can definitely do all this till you are 30 / till you don't have any other responsibility like marriage or kid. If that's not the case, it's mostly better to earn a steady income to support your family than look for what makes you happy as in this case there are others dependent on you

am a middle-class guy. Joined the first job i got. Didnt have the luxury to wait and chose. After that its was pretty much the market's decision on my next job.

Same bro its the major problem among many
If you don't have any dependants as of now, it's better to experiment and check. Also meanwhile you may look out for internships and see if that kind of work aligns your interests
