How do you negotiate rent with blr landlords?

People laughed at me when I asked for decent living spaces below 10k at these locations. It took 2 days, i went for a walk in the streets of Koramangala and HSR layout. And found multiple 1rk's less than 8k and multiple 1bhk's less than 12k. There are a lot of furnished 1bhk apartments with rent ranging from 15k to 18k. To all the people who are new to Bangalore, don't fall prey for hefty rents, do roam in and around the surroundings.. you will find good places within the budget. Surprisingly there are plenty of vacant spaces and soon the prices will come down.

Recently our Owner asked us to vacate after 3 years of staying here in Koramangala, a 4 BHk home. Mostly be renegotiating with him. Meanwhile in our search for possible other options, we have found that most of the residential properties are being inflated randomly by the owners recently, the reason being, we all know the influx into Bangalore & I have had a call with few properties - 1.3 Lakhs quotes for unfurnished 4 BHK home in HSR Sector 1 - 1.5 Lakhs quoted for Unfornished 5 BHK in HSR sector 3 Too much firing in place, AI advent, Funding slowdown in Startups Things are going super greedy with owners here in Bangalore. Thoughts on how to overcome this situation ?

Hi guys, My friend and I are shifting to a 3BHK in DNR Springleaf, Koramangala. It’s a beautiful society with gym and swimming pool, as well as in a very prime area (right next to Prestige Pinewood). The total rent is 1L, and we are looking for a flatmate to take the room with an unattached but personal washroom. Do let me know if anyone’s interested or the best place to find someone.

Need to switch houses soon (humongous rental hikes have hit my society haha), can folks here provide some stats on what they’re paying, in which area, and how long ago they moved in. Also suggest some decent places to look for, area don’t matter, I’m mostly looking for metro proximity. Thanks!

Greetings, As the headline says I will be moving to Banglore for the first time next week. Finding accommodation here is a real adventure (Not a good one) from what I read and seen. I wanted advice from people who are already there. what is best the way to go about it? I have been using MagicBricks and Flat & Flatmates to search near Salarpuria Softzone, Bellandur area but have not been able to find anything good. Is it hard to find one without a broker also how do you find a broker in the first place? Friends have suggested joining Facebook groups which I am going to try next. I am also contemplating whether living in a PG or a Flat is a better option. For a flat, I would need flatmates which I currently don't have. I want my commute to be as low as possible because I heard Bangalore has godly planned road infra. My company has provided 15 day stay I will have to find it in the given time only. Please let me know how you guys found accommodation. Tips and recommendations are appreciated. If anyone is aware of any empty flat please mention the property name/address. If anyone has stayed in a PG with not too bad food please mention it. Thanks.

Understanding what is the going rent for a 2BHK in Bangalore close to ORR. Used to work from home happily. But office folks decided to make it hybrid last year and I moved to Bangalore with my wife. Rented a 2BHK flat near Marathahalli for 30k (Rent+Maintanence). Now that the 11 month contract is over, the owner is asking for 36K even though the rental agreement says 5% increase an year. What are you guys paying as rent? And is it common in Bangalore to increase rents by 20% year or year which seems really crazy.

I'm not able to wrap my head around the pace at which rents increase in Bangalore. We moved here about a year ago and rented a 2 BHK semi-furnished apartment with basic amenities for 28k plus maintenance charges. The rent agreement said there would be a 10% increase after one year. Even though it was a bit over our budget, we decided to go for it. Now, a year has passed and we've settled in, but the owner is suddenly saying he's canceling the previous agreement and starting a new one with a rent of 38k plus maintenance. And he told us this only 15 days before! This new amount feels way too high for our apartment. We're thinking about moving out, but then again the trouble of finding another place and shifting all our stuff in short period is making me anxious. We are not able to decide on what to do. Is this normal here? Any advice?
