They are giving food salary but offer letter says strict timings and it seems like an implementation role. Also read about team toxicity/politics , non stable product with difficult implementation and I don't think they even give relocation assistance ( might be wrong though about this part)

The work culture is pathetic. So the managers of senior people in the company are bullshit and extremely toxic. Avoid as much as you can. I had friends who joined at senior level and left in no time because of the toxicity with no job in hand. So avoid as much as you can.

I have been selected as an analyst at Deloitte as a fresher. 

I was actually kinda worried for the future ahead because I wanted to continue into SDE. So does it create a problem later in switching? And what is the scope for analyst?

Currently I am working as an SDE - 1(8 base) in gurugram, I received an offer for an automation engineer role from Sprinklr (16.5 base). I am 2023 grad from IIIT and have a good knowledge of DSA and System Design. Some days back I received an SDE-1 offer from a Singapore stealth startup(13 base) but couldn't join them. Now I have this offer, I am still looking to switch to SDE-1 position, but due to the market situation not getting enough interview calls. So is it advisable to join an automation role and look for the SDE roles in parallel? since I believe that sprinklr tag will help me in getting the opportunities but I don't know whether my resume will be shortlisted for the SDE roles if I have an automation role in my resume. Please give your honest opinion and help me to make the decision..

So hello Everyone , 
A short intro , i am a 2023 grad , fumbled a 32 lpa SDE job in last round in college placement . I was among the last 2 out of 500 students and the other guy got selected or you can say i run out of luck.🙂
This left a scar ,guilt and trauma, however got placed as a cloud engineer during last week of my college.

I always wanted to do development and create stuffs . 
My current role is more of a support so now I want to switch .

Salary:9 lpa (7.5 base)
Fully remote 

i had solved around 220+ questions on leetcode and had a good grip on DSA but it’s been a year since i solved any questions there.
So now i will again start coding and solving leetcode from STRIVER A to Z dsa course and working on harkirat 0-100 development projects.


I aim to make myself interview ready at the end of week 5 while keeping my current job and then look for interviews during my notice period.
I am ready to take a leap of faith and grind hard .

I will keep updating on every Sunday about number of questions and development projects i worked on .
Hope it motivates you all to improve and get better at life .

I am going to use this  sub to record my weekly improvements .

Week 0 : Aim to improve technically and have Career growth

I have just joined a new organization where I've joined their Platform Engineering- Developer Experience team. Here my team handles CI/CD, Platform management of the core engineering team interacting with the resources like database, queue etc because they can't contact the resources directly. So there is code involvement as well which I love.

The pay is good here as well. But in my past experiences I've worked mostly on core engineering. I have 5 years of experience. 

Should I look for change or Platform engineering is good and challenging as well? And would It pay more in future in monetary terms as well?

I have a SDE offer from Razorpay. I have worked previously at amazon for 1 year. My team at both Razorpay and amazon is kind of new from what I have heard. I am not sure about the work culture at Razorpay, but lately I have read a lot of negative comments about razorpay in this app. At glassdoor, people are giving 5/5 rating to Razorpay. I am not sure about it. Can someone tell me how the work culture is at Razorpay? Are there frequent pips and how is the work life balance?

I have worked in two startups as backend engineer and here I only did the given work and didnt proactively contribute much to the products. I have been given promotion to SDE 2 without any salary hike. I recently got laid off and I feel like I am not eligible for SDE 2 interviews. I can clear dsa rounds but suck in design rounds.  I got a job with same salary at a service based company and I am thinking to join and then prepare to be better at design. is it a good decision? should I join it?

I have a job offer as a SDE 1 Frontend role at a Saas startup. I will be 25 in May and have 1.5 yoe and the offer is 17LPA. They have a team of 7 engineers. They have over 1m+ downloads on Play Store but very very small number of paid customers, so negligible revenue. They took funding 1.5m $ last year. I'll get the opportunity to kind of own the new product that we will be building. The job location is Bengaluru. I feel growth opportunity will be there as I'll be one of the few frontend developers but I feel very overwhelmed with the responsibility as I don't have much experience and I fell I'll be incapable of doing it. Also is it worth joining such a risky startup and shift to Bengaluru? I also have to work as a customer support person half day in a week because it's a small startup so you have to play every role.

Please help!!! Because eventually I want to join a bigger company which is well known and reputed because I want to get married and reputation of the company matters a lot in my community and all the knowledge I'll gain working at this small startup would be of no use as for interview prep at reputed companies you need to do DSA LLD HLD for which I believe I'll need around 1+ year just to prep and I feel I won't get time working at this small company due to the workload as the product is not yet built.

So, I got placed on-campus as an analyst and it's about to be a year since.
While I don't hate the work I do and have excellent work life balance (unsure if i require it tbh 😅), I feel I can better showcase and hone my skills in a software development role, given that I have a degree in computer science and simply, enjoy coding (I've automated nearly every task I have been given as an analyst at my current job.)

Looking for an SDE role.

Hey, I'm a fresher and recently i joined a mid-size (5k emp) B2B Saas fintech company as a functional consultant.
My job role is simply to configure the company's products according to client's specifications, which forces me to think that I'm adding no skills whatsoever except SQL which i can bank on for a switch.
I thought since the role has "consulting" in it would be similar to management consulting but it's not.Should i quit and go back to cloud or is there scope for functional consultants?
