I work in Accenture , not in SAP ,I just worked on SAP Hana tool that's it ....Mostly my work was SAP tech consultant but a bit low level .And basic dev work on SQL and  plsql as well . 
 So am finding no growth in my work currently .So I feel it's not downgrade . 
  
 MBA bcz I love finance ,I understand it very well .So I prefer working in higher level finance roles , equity research , managerial roles . 
  
 Even though I got 94%ile in CAT , I didn't get much of the top clgs . 
 In Pvt clgs I applied to MDI Gurgaon and TAPMI manipal . I converted TAPMI manipal. 
 I received IIM CAP call and gave interview for the same and now waiting for the final results .

Gave 2 attempts for CAT and gave IIM CAP interview as well , waiting for the results .
I tried for IIM BLACKIS ,But no luck couldnt get calls due to past sins( academics) and also I could not score 99 in CAT. I tried my best.
Am General Engineer Male .

But as of now I converted TAPMI Manipal , So I need suggestions on this .

I'm a 2023 graduate from NIT Calicut(Mech) I got placed in a service-based company as SDE with a CTC of 12 LPA I am confused should I be going for MBA from BLACKI ? I'm interested in consulting firms and I've heard that consulting and banking firms won't shortlist you in summer placement if you don't have 9/9/9 my acads are 10/8/8 should I take the risk for trying to get into consulting in final placements in IIM's or should I start preparing for a switch in a good product-based company.

So, I have an admit from IIT Madras, currently working as a software engineer for a product based company 11Lpa.
The jobs not too great but not bad either 
Hybrid model, chill team, great wlb no pressure or anything. 
I am up for appraisal next month even if i get a minimum of 20% hike and prepare for next 6months and switch with a minimum hike of 50% my ctc would be around 20 which is the average numbers in madras . 
Not taking cat again, so its now or never for MBA.
Should I continue with job or do MBA.
Any suggestions.

I'm standing at a career crossroads and could really use some perspective.
Profile : 
-YOE-3yrs. 
-2 years in a technical role and
- 1year working as a Project manager in a well known MNC.
- Graduated from a well-known T-2 college engineering college. 

I've always wanted to be in a managerial role. I feel like I'd definitely do better in such a role, in the long run.

I'm considering going for an MBA at ISB, but – the idea of taking on a 45-lakh loan is giving me pause. Coming from a middle-class background, it's a significant financial commitment. 

Plus, the job outlook for Product roles is fuzzy, and I'm not entirely sold on the consulting scene either. 
The big question is whether an MBA from ISB would really pay off. 

If you've gone through a similar decision-making process or have insights, navigating a career shift post-MBA, or just general advice on making a call like this, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

For all techies who have been in industry for more than 4 years, is it worth to do mba from iims if you want to venture out of software and get into business. 
24 M, TC 45 

Few cons which i can think of are
- you lose out on the salary of the two years
- end up with a debt 
- you get the job which is gonna pay at par or below the the current salary

pros can be 
- you grow quicker once you are in the industry
- you get exposed to much bigger network of professionals and senior execs of multiple firms
- 5 year down the line, you salary can get much better when comparing with tech job

I need help with making an educated decision on whether to go for it or not, thank you

I am 22yo and just graduated from a tier 3 college with Btech degree. Currently placed in a startup as a Frontend Engineer CTC 7LPA remote. I am confused should I prepare for masters and do that or should I work hard in FE and switch after 1-2 year for better pay.

What is the future scope of the PM job role...will it still be relevant after 10 years, Is going to IIMs spending close to 25 lakhs in this economy to get into a PM job role justified??
Context: I know many people will say you don't need IIM to break into PM, But considering I'm a 25 Male, from tier 3 college...currently working as a product designer with 8 lpa...so I think the only way to reach 25-30 lpa in hand by 28 is by joining IIMs

Me: APM with almost 2 years of experience looking to do an MBA to fast track my career.

Post-MBA roles:

- Strategy Roles
- Program/Project Management
- General Management
- Other similar roles

Long term goal: To stay in India; fine with working 2-3 years abroad.

Query 1: Considering an average profile with 9/8/8 in high school/intermediate/college, tier-1 undergrad and 2 years work-ex at a start-up. Do I have a chance to bag an MBA admit from the following with little scholarship:

- LBS
- Insead
- HEC Paris
- Oxford
- Cambridge
- SDA Bocconi
- NUS Singapore
- IESE
- ISB

I'm targeting 1 year programs only for cost purposes, hence the US is out of the picture. Feel free to suggest good 1 yr US programs

Query 2: How much GMAT is required for my profile to get into these schools?

Query 3: Are 2 year IIM Programs more advisable for me and should I leave abroad colleges altogether. At the maximum, I can't wait more than 3 years of work-ex at the time of applying due to personal reasons.

My opinion -  
  
 Q1 - If your long term goal is to be in India, prefer institutions within india. Reason - You won’t be able to build network, an imp component of any MBA program. I know someone who went Dublin and struggling even to get references back home. Adding A/B/C will help  
  
 Q2 - Target 720, you will land at a better place. GMAT is just a barrier, not the deciding criteria. 
  
 Q3- 2 years would be good considering your constraints and long term goals. If you can extend 1 more year, you’ll be eligible for IIMs 1 yr MBAs.  
  
 Overall - It’s my strong opinion that if you are targeting foreign MBAs, value derivation will happen only if you plan to stay, work abroad for few years. Financial burdens will be less plus you will something worthwhile to show. See the privilege of “foreign-returned” is slowly reducing in india as global roles are getting created here as well.

Is it beneficial to do Online MBA or PGPWP from IIM’s, considering that the fees is ~20LPA and the classes are conducted online or on weekends. I am currently working in a big 4 with 5years of experience in tech consulting and earning ~ 30LPA, leaving current job will be a difficult decision, therefore I have been considering such courses. My current employer might not be able to give me any promotion on this basis but will it help in long run and help in switching to MBB’s ? 
Also, does the degree of these courses specify online or anything which sets it apart from regular course degree?
