How much percentage hike should I ask for role change/promotion?
Principal Engineer with 13yoe. I have been assured of a promotion in July by my manager to Technologist position. That is, if they don't stop hikes and promotions for the whole company. Current TC: 40L fixed + 10L bonus + stocks Domain: Computer Vision + ML I feel like my current TC is average to lower average for a product based MNC. And it will be at least 5 years for the next promotion, if i stick to the same company. Will appreciate inputs from folks who have been in a similar situation. Thanks!
Seems about average for Sandisk/WD. Perhaps switch orgs? Lots of medium to large orgs need principal+ engineers
I'm considering that as well, but it has to be 100% remote and has to have good WLB like I'm getting right now due to some family issues. Any orgs which are recruiting and provide remote work that you know of? Thanks for your response.
You can even try applying for in-office roles and negotiate. Being an high level IC gives you a lot of negotiating power.
For startup roles, I’d recommend angel/wellfound
