How to become a VC in India?
I have some money to invest and knowledge about startups and funding. Is it enough for me to be a VC or I've to join some VC firm or take a course?
There are some events on inc42 website, you can check that. Although, very costly.
Assuming you're trying to transition from something like an Uber PM to Analyst,
You should try creating a couple of thesis- market studies, make investment cases for companies and send them across to VP/Partners.

Assuming you want to become an angel investor (and not join a VC firm); reach out and enroll yourself as an LP on syndicates on the Angel List platform.
Reach out and meet/chat with the fund managers of these syndicates and try to be a part of the deal evaluation process for at least 6-8 startups from various sectors.
After this experience (~1 year); you can access deal flow on platforms like Angel List and Let’s Venture and start investing.
Plan to invest 45-60L across 15-20 startups over next 5 years for optimal exposure.

Do a startup. Get a good EXIT then become a VC. People who never were founders are shitty VCs ( Vinod Khosla talked about this in his podcast) I totally agree
Depends on what you're trying to achieve. Do you want to invest your own money as an angel or interested in pursuing this as a career?
