How to get into product
I am gonna graduate in June 2024 and want to get into product management, I have two internships in same domain but there is a gap after Jan 2023 because I started preparing for some exams in whole 2023 as market was very bad then , although it's bad now as well but not much as compared to last year, how should I approach towards it when getting back and what soft skills i can develop in these 3 to 4 months so as to land at good product management internship with a potential for full time conversion

Please don’t get into PM just for the sake of it. You should explore getting into tech roles.
Better pay and life overall

Yup but product management is also some kind of techno managerial role , I think most of the startups and even companies prefer the technical PMs , so learning some tech skills should be good , whats your take on it , if yes then why and if not then why
Yup, well said.
PM is just like the plane which Boman was flying in Dhamaal.
Chaalu h, jab Tak theek h toh chal Raha h aage ka pata nahi.
Better to be in Consultancy/Finance firm

Tech makes the most impact and would be respected more in any company- early stage startup or large company. Nobody hires a PM before PMF, but they would definitely hire tech people for the same. Most of the people are trying into get into PM because these PM influencers are making it look like they are driving everything. However that has no substance. Even the pay is not glorified any more. So please take your decisions carefully

How about management consulting then? , I can experiment for 1-2 months max before going for my conclusion

Again most of the top MBBs hire from top b schools with good background & stellar acads (experience from good companies- Amazon, bain, Mck etc) or CA rankers. So in case you want to go for these companies this is the ideal path (again you would have a shot at it, nothing is guaranteed). The work in these companies are good but low wlb (compensated by high pays). Then comes the 2nd tier - Acc strat, Deloitte etc. here the work is shit but pay is okay.
All these things were addressed with PM roles - good money, good wlb however such companies are rare and difficult to get into - MS, Atlassian etc. but even for these companies the pay is not stellar as for Tech roles or MBB roles
