How to start a recruiting agency?
What does it take to start recruiting? How do you get your first clients if you already have a good network of candidates? What stage of the candidate funnel do you get paid? When the candidate is offered or if they join?

You get paid after the candidate joins and stays at the firm for 3 months. Reputed firms have retainers but new firms only charge after someone has joined. You really need to be well connected with the head/founder who believes in the value you might bring as most firms have their own inhouse teams.
So having a candidate network is not a unique proposition since candidates are easy to find?

Its only higher up the ladder which may be a unique proposition. A good candidate is a differentiator but what you feel good your client may not
