Hey viners i have confusion and i want guidence and experience from you guys the question is after 1 year i aam shifting my job to HR from developme t due to current layoffs and market crisis i was working as embedded software and after that i was like get some interest in HR recruiting so i shifted to it and but got a job in xyz institute as a placement coordinator so my confusion is what like should i upgrade my skills in HR or again should i come to development side lkke i was totally in stressed during my job in development so this was main reason and i got a job as a placemnet officer but i had no choice to join them i was searching HR job in big companies but didint get any referal.

so Point 1 should i continue with and after some years switch to tech companies
Point 2 should i stick to development but current markets not allowing me to think .
Point 3 As compare to development side how much HR can earn if he s doing certification in HR gaining mkre certificates etc etc.
Should i get that much salary in HR?
PS At starting only i mentioned currrntly i m doining placement officer job

or should i do mentoring means teaching programming language in same institution after some months?

i m totally comfused and stressed by thinking all this thats y i post here and need ur help for guidence.

I'm puzzled by the relatively low compensation for HR professionals. Despite having 1.8 years of experience in HR and a current CTC of 4 LPA, I've found that potential employers are not offering a significant salary increase - not even 10%. I'm a postgraduate in Social Science from Jamia. Majority of companies I have applied there max budget is 30K only. What does companies find in a fresher of worth 20 30LPA? Is DSA and leetcoding the only way up? For someone in witch company to get 40 50 lpa offer.

I was hiring for a web designer in last role.
We had an internal referral, and I checked her portfolio before reaching out.
She had multiple projects, worked with many customers across countries, the designs were fresh and inviting, no clutter.

She was the one (for the role)!
Exactly what we were looking for. 

I had a budget of 25-30LPA, had quoted 19-24 LPA (because well)
Her expectations were 30-33 LPA

Cut to, she was the only one till final round and they were processing her offer letter at 31LPA

In general HR's say we shouldn't discuss our salaries with our colleagues and at the same time they allow your manager to discuss the salary during appraisal.

A manager should only be allowed to tell %age increase, not the actual salary.

As a manager, would you share your salary with your reportee ? If not, why should you know their salary?

Either make salaries transparent, everyone knows each other's salary or nobody should know anyone's salary except HR.
