What is your policy on hiring people with no degree but good background in freelancing?
How big is your team and are you hiring?
What is your tech stack?

We hire folks with no degrees. We have a few of them, and they are rockstars.

These are companies pre-India stack, and are solving problems for a set layer.
We’re post the Data governance stack. So layer 3&4. Very different.
What is Layer 3 & 4? Can you please help us understand better.
Is there also a Layer 1 & 2?

No mate. We do work from office for 4 days and Fridays are WFH.
Tough to do WFH all the time in this industry.

Why are you operating out of Chennai? Doesn't moving to BLR improve talent profile and hence outcome?

Too many questions, my bad.
Grapevine should do a video AMA or session so that it’s easier for me to answer all, which I’d ideally want to do.

Hey Shrey,
Here is my question
As the CEO, what do you see as the most significant challenges and opportunities in the fintech infrastructure space, and how is Finsire positioning itself to address them?

I feel the RBI is setting up India’s fintech ecosystem in a manner in which there will be no scope for abnormal profits. Seems like they don’t want any one company to have too much power of any stack/application.
Digital Lending for instance only seems to work profitably (Right now most fintechs can easily patent with NBFCs banks and lend at similar rates) if you have a low cost of capital which doesn’t seem plausible if you’re not a bank.
