I have interview in Google for Senior developer. If anyone is from there or has given the interview, then can you guys help me with the preparation. The first round is DSA one.

Have upcoming dsa rounds at Google for staff software engineer position at Google. Any suggestions on the type or topic of questions to expect. Any prep guide or study material would also help a lot.

I needed some help in coming up with a study plan to specifically train for Google's interview process. I currently have 4yoe, so I think the interviews will be for SDE2 role. There will be 3 DSA rounds, 1 Googleyness, and 1 Leadership round. I already have experience in DSA and have solved most of Neetcode 150 (except DP, Bit Manipulation, and some hard problems). If any of you have given Google (or any FAANG) interview before, I would love to get some guidance on how to prepare in 30 days. I already know most of the common algorithms like DFS, BFS, Sliding window, Binary search, etc so I won't have to start from scratch. Also, the recruiter mentioned that I will have only 45 mins to solve two questions: mostly 1 hard and 1 medium. So I basically have around 20 mins per problem, which I feel is very difficult to solve a Leetcode Hard problem unless you have seen it before. Did I misunderstand the recruiter? Are there any tips on how to get good at this?

As a Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience, can you guys please guide me on preparation for DSA. Consider my current knowledge about DSA 0. How should I start? Approx how much time it will take? How should I know what topics are more frequently asked at my level? Any DSA plan for 0 to hero in DSA? Apart from DSA I’m also preparing for HLD and LLD and I’d love to have recommendations from you folks about how to prepare these and where to prepare these from? Talking to my nephew nowadays seems like the AI bug has gotten to him. Even going back during the early parts of my own career and even undergrad, ML and stats was still a fledgling field. Most of the smart folks went into SDE roles at top tech. I still remember that even back then, hiring for roles like these were extremely theoretical. You would test even experienced candidates with undergrad topics which was slightly outdated tbh because most of the functions were abstracted away and it is obvious that you would not remember the matrix approach to finding weights for a simple linear regression model. Has this changed now? Because I don't think interviews like that actually evaluate the accumulated wisdom that experienced professionals bring to the table. I mean it is generally a waste of time for anyone to brush up manual derivations or remember SQL niche intricacies. Usually it is better to test for the 80% knowledge that is actually useful on a day to day basis. I mean if the main things that companies test in experienced candidates is something that can be rote-memorized from a book then they are not testing the right things no? What do you all think? Just wondering about this for some time now especially considering the hype around AI?

Has anyone given google's domain round for Android dev profile?

I am originally from a small town and did my BSc in Computer Science. My relatives and neighbours used to say that I am a good for nothing freeloader who is a "nikamma" - unemployed. It was very hard to find a job back then and I used to have deep anxiety about it. My only dream was to get my fathers appreciation. He is my biggest hero. So I started preparing very hard and practiced my skills. The only one who supported me was my mother who used to give me tea even at 3 in the morning while I used to study. Even my own father gave up on me and from time to time he used to say that if you are living under my roof then you have to follow my rules. He also used to say that look at the neighbour's ladka who got a government job and he asked me to prepare for Bank PO. So I moved out from my town and shifted to Gurgaon where I got a small PG with some money that my mother had given me. I also started freelancing on Fiverr and which led me to improve my communication skills. Finally, when I got my Google offer letter I felt like I made it. It was the best response to all the taunts by people around me. I suddenly became a superstar in my town with people congratulating my parents. I bought my mother gold bangles and dad a new watch with my first salary. I was looking at my offer letter today and it reminded me of all the hardwork I did to achieve this moment. This is the story of my life. In case anyone needs help. I am ready to provide support to aspirants here as a way to give back.
