INR 39 LPA with 9 years in Testing
What are the market standards for a person in this role. I want to understand where i stand in the current market. The reason is to decide if i should negotiate for a raise or explore a new opportunity. I am a Senior QA Lead with Full Stack Automation Testing skills in UI, API, Mobile, Performance and Security.
If 39 lpa is base, then it's an amazing salary for 9 yoe. Congrats on that.
If you target some freshly funded startups (like Glean) then there is a chance you can get even more. Say around 45-50% hike. The more you go up on the payscale, your hike % will tend to shrink.
If you are negotiating a raise then have a benchmark at around 20% hike. Anything less then start lookong out for better offers.
Hey, thanks for your time. This will actually help me in making better decision.
Hi @Ponderman13, I'm at 16 base and 1.6 bonus without stocks including around 18 CTC.
Majorly did manual work until now right now getting back on track with automation part of new gen ai team her. I'm feeling very overwhelmed by the culture at servicenow. Nobody is helpful like they are in my previous org at least basic KT should be given.
What are your thoughts for navigating this. And how can I make out of this.
Oh and I have 2 years of experience!
Getting KT is actually part of the hustle, if it is the business insights you seek, some of it can be gained by looking into dev repos and system setup.
I would suggest build a rapport with your colleagues, be patient, read internal wikis and documents, listen in meetings and ask relevant questions when seeking information.
It's okay to feel overwhelmed at this moment. You will prevail, don't worry about it.
