ISB MBA WORTH IT?
Hello!
I'm standing at a career crossroads and could really use some perspective. Profile : -YOE-3yrs. -2 years in a technical role and
- 1year working as a Project manager in a well known MNC.
- Graduated from a well-known T-2 college engineering college.
I've always wanted to be in a managerial role. I feel like I'd definitely do better in such a role, in the long run.
I'm considering going for an MBA at ISB, but – the idea of taking on a 45-lakh loan is giving me pause. Coming from a middle-class background, it's a significant financial commitment.
Plus, the job outlook for Product roles is fuzzy, and I'm not entirely sold on the consulting scene either. The big question is whether an MBA from ISB would really pay off.
If you've gone through a similar decision-making process or have insights, navigating a career shift post-MBA, or just general advice on making a call like this, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Unrelated, but All isb grads are so intrusive. Ankur warikoo, shatakshi ooff

There is no assurity that even post mba you’d get a company which would help you pay off your loan in 2 years. Pay will definitely be great but company culture is something that you can never be certain of. If you want to take a heavy loan, you are better off pursuing your mba from outside or exploring opportunities at your current firm if they can help you out with further studies.
