Which other languages are you most comfortable with other than JS/TS?

I don't know c/c++ or even java . Basically any such language which deals with pointers and all. I practice dsa in Javascript. Have worked on mern till now and want to aim for faang level companies.I even planntonlearm golang next. 
I want to ask if shall I learn c c++ etc or continue on my path.

DSA and software engineering without c/c++

I am actually a nodejs developer 2 yoe . I feel that Javascript is not sort of ideal language to learn and practices dsa and competitive programming. 
Except Javascript, I am not good in any pgm language. 
Can anyone guide me which language I shall choose... My thoughts are like

1. C++ :- most preferred language for dsa and cp but has almost no application in majority of Indian IT industry. Learning c++ would mean learning it only for dsa and no other application. 

2. Python :-  Has good application in industry but not sure about anything else. Heard that there are complex data structures pre built so not an idea choice.

3.Java :- Very much becoming sort of legacy language, too many fremworks etc and not to mention I scored 40% in java in my college so totally abhoring it. 

Please guys, give me suggestions and help me.. I have around 8 months to learn language and practice dsa, cp and all

DSA guide for exp nodejs dev

I am currently working as a front end engineer (ReactJS) in an Indian Service based company. I have a pretty solid front end knowledge. My end goal is to be a full stack developer. So I was about to start backend engineering. But also I want to switch to a nice product based company (end goal is ofcourse MAANG type company). 
Currently I have 1+ years of experience.
It's not like I don't enjoy DSA, I enjoyed Development over DSA. My DSA skill is very basic for now (I know arrays, hashmap, two pointers thats all)
So My question is when to start DSA?
Because If I start DSA now then I need to at least give 1 year to DSA. But then I will not be able to do Backend.
Most people also say not to do dev and dsa in parallel.
So suggest something to me.
Should I do Backend first then do DSA or
Should I do DSA then do dev
Or should I do both at the same time??

I know I need to invest 3 to 4 hours daily if I need to be a full stack engineer with strong DSA skill. I am ready to be in discipline.

Skills: Python + DSA (Intermediate), HTML, CSS, JS (Intermediate).

In 2021 I was preparing for government job and was really passionate about govt services but I failed in CDS II 2021 and lose all of my focus and my parents want me to get a job in related field so in January 2022 I started looking for job in IT but I was not good at anything and so I thought I wasn't job ready and start learning to Python and DSA and Web Development but in meantime I procrastinated and wasted so much of my time I was demotivated with zero focus and after months I am still not good at anything I don't have anything to show on my resume no projects, no experience nothing.

I have wasted more than a year just thinking what should I do and got nowhere. Lately I started to learn web dev from theodinproject.com and have completed foundations. Tbh i wasted time during this learning phase also and manage to complete this in a month. And after that I started to learn reactjs (haven't completed it yet)

And now I am really desperate for a job. What should I do to get a job with minimum preparation like give 1 months and get a job? I am not looking for something specific. I don't have any goals. ATM I have no idea what I am passionate about.

I'm 24 and unemployed and How can I turn my life around? All those years in school and college I never worked hard enough but now I regret it. I want to work hard now but have been procrastinating a lot. I need guidance on how to get a job and what to learn further to get a job. 

I would really appreciate it if you guys can guide me.

Frontend Engineer

Hello guys, I did alot of DSA in my college time (Tier 3 college), I got the highest marks in my DSA sem exams in my class and my professor was impressed with me, I gave leetcode contests, learned DSA from YT and so on. 

I got placed in a decent company with a 7.5 LPA package (while my best friend, who hardly knew DSA got a SDET role in a startup with 40 LPA), now after 2 years my pacakge is 10 LPA, I want to switch to a better company with good pay, I restarted practising DSA again but everytime I get stuck in some question and not able to solve it, it feels like I am wasting my time.

While in my job, I learned Angular, TypeScript and frontend dev (which interests me more than DSA, but I am too lazy to make my own side projects)

what should I do? should I stick on to DSA even though sometimes I just feel like I am wasting my time solving some random question which doesn’t justify anything about me? or beat my laziness and make some side projects with the frontend skills that I have?

any advice would help me. Thanks in advance.

I feel lost

I'm a 2021 graduate. I left my first job at a small startup in Bangalore in January because they refused to pay my salary and my hike for 3 months (promotion was done but just on paper, they were paying the old salary). 

I'm not good at DSA at all even though I handled multiple projects related to security and development tools using Go and have a good understanding about the language. But I'm not good at DSA at all, I don't have a leetcode account or solved any DSA problems yet. 

If I want to get a job I have to start DSA from scratch which will take a minimum of 4-6 months. Which makes me unemployed for 1 year. 

I'm scared whether this is a red flag in the recruiters point of view. And create a situation where recruiters intentionally try to hire me for less salary.

What should I do? Should I leave my current domain and switch to other technical jobs that may not require DSA during interviews or spend time to learn enough DSA to clear interviews? 

If there's any way to get some guidance from senior engineers or people who had similar issues like this in the past, please let me know.

Scared of having a career gap

I (27, Mumbai, India) switched from non-tech background ( commerce) 2 years ago , and started with learning  frontend development and grinded very hard despite all odds. And i recently joined (March to be precise) as a React JS web developer. We are a team of all freshers except for the TL of course. Before getting the job,  I only focused on the web development part and never learned DSA except for solving codewars sometimes. Now, in my non office hours, I try learning DSA and solving codewars/neetcode problems which takes all that time and I am also reading a book on javascript. But sometimes I get into a dilemma, like it happened today, where I wonder if I am correct to learn DSA and improve logic building and dive deep into javascript, OR should I instead invest my non office hours in diving deep into React JS and also improving my CSS skills (where I suck a lil). I really get into this dillema somedays and end up getting anxious. Please tell me what you think. It would be very helpful, and I would be grateful.  Thank you.

Am I doing the right thing? What should I more focus on?

I am currently pursuing my Master's in Computer Applications from GGSIPU, Delhi. Our placement session is about to start in a month. The average placement in our college is 4-5 Lakhs. I love web development and have built a few full-stack projects too. Now I am confused about what I should do. Should I improve my web development skills and apply for development roles off-campus, or should I work on DSA and focus on the campus placement? I am confused because currently.

Hi folks, 
I'm stuck here, I joined this organization a year ago. Still on bench. I'm from a mechanical engineering background. Know only the basics of Java, HTML, CSS, little bit of Javascript. 

Should I learn DSA along with Java and spring boot, mirco services or Javascript, react js. Or please suggest me other tech if they are feasible and would help to switch from my current organisation.
If you have time, a roadmap would be very helpful. Please guide me on this matter.

I am a Golang Developer, with around 3yr of experience. Previously, in college, I have practiced DSA in C++. Also, I knew some Java which I used while learning OOPS(LLD) in college.

Now since I am considering to switch, I need to revise and practice DSA again.

For the last 3 years I have not touched C++ or Java and I love working in Golang. But, now I am in a dilemma.

Question: Should I try to relearn the syntaxes of C++ for DSA? 

Question: For LLD, since Golang does not support “pure” object oriented programming, should I try to practice those in Java? 

Question: Will it be worth the effort to relearn the syntaxes for the languages I did not use for a long while, for interview preparations?
