I’m in Audit and I’m not being challenged. Is it too early or is this always going to be like this in Big 4?

I am a new associate. All tasks assigned to me do not require any skills or a college degree. I feel like going through this will stagnate my skills.

Every-time I show initiative, I do not succeed at making my team assign me more of the challenging tasks.

Should I be more patient or look for another career or other big 4? I feel like a glorified admin assistant in my current audit role. Maybe even admins do more challenging work.

I mean it’s good that you feel this way instead of feeling the opposite. Just work and show initiative until you get a promotion

For audit guys, there are lot of opportunities in corporates after few years in Big4. But initially this mundane work has to be done.
