- U.S. State Department announces Indian investigation team's travel to Washington DC on October 15 to investigate a plot to kill U.S. Citizen in New York. 
- Charges were announced in November 2023 alleging an Indian government employee directed a plot to kill Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani separatist. 
- Indian citizen, Nikhil Gupta, extradited to the U.S. from the Czech Republic in June 2024, is now in detention in Brooklyn. 
- U.S. District Court had summoned National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief Samant Goel and others last month in connection with a complaint lodged by Mr. Pannun.

Once, I was an ardent follower of the famous YouTuber Dhruv Rathee’s words, videos but off late, I have been seeing too much of his anti BJP propaganda videos. Also, people are talking that he is funded by AAP. Though he is good with the facts, figures & logics but now I am confused after seeing a lot of videos on how he is just brainwashing the public on the basis of the research done by some anti national people, living across the globe. 
What is your views on this?

Here's another perspective: Dhruv Rathee is a good critic of the government. We need such critics in the country regardless of who is ruling. 
  
 I have noticed a growing trend of discrediting and defaming critics instead of addressing their arguments directly. 
  
 It's crucial to differentiate between criticisms of the government and criticisms of the country. Dhruv Rathee's critiques are aimed at the Modi government, not India. It's easy to put an "anti-national", "funded", "khalistani" and other labels on anyone who criticizes to refute their arguments without validating them at first. The government diverts our attention from criticisms by using such tactics

I am in shock that the Canadian PM, in the Canadian Parliament no less has alleged that India has eliminated a khalistani on Canadian soil. 
I still remember the days, when the single greatest attack on the soul of the country took place in Mumbai on 26/11, all we could do was establish backchannel diplomacy with the likes of the US to get Pakistan to 'calm down'. Not a single bullet was fired in return in a nation that perceived our weak national security as par for the course, getting the Congress led UPA that presided over this moment of unparalleled humiliation, a thumping verdict in 2009. That was an India where we would lament the lack of credible retaliation options including Covert Ops. It was often stated that IK Gujral rolled back R&AW operations outside the country as an excuse for our lack. Although, no action was taken to initiate the operations again. NONE. But excuses were ready should failures occur again.

That India of my childhood, seems like a distant past. When URI and Balakot happened, we crossed the LoC and launched Spl Ops to impose rising costs upon Pakistani aggression. Khalistani or old thoroughbred battle hardened Islamic Jihad commanders in Pakistan or PoK are being neutralized, further raising costs to threatening Indian interests. 

This is not the India I grew up in. 2004-14, when we ought to have taken off, came a pauper after the initial global liquidity fuelled growth from 04-07. Congress went on a far left loony socialistic binge, with massive amounts of debt given to Crony Industrialist friends leading to an NPA crisis which led to Private investment paralysis, plummeting growth further, and inflation hitting the skies. 

But now, we are poised for a decade or two of rapid, high quality, solid economic growth. All of these factors combine to bolster our Gross National Power like never before. 

We were supposed to be poor, timid and helpless. We pursued sympathy over strength. But I guess, this is no longer the India we knew of.

This is NOT the India I grew up in

This is not the India I grew up, where there was some trust left between religious communities and people were mostly tolerant of each other. Indian cricket team had a Muslim captain, and now an Indian Muslim fastbowler is facing Internet trolls.  
  
 This is not the India I grew up in where hate mongering was not mainstream and was frowned upon.  
  
  
 This is not the India I grew up in. Democratic institutions were fairly independent and there was no Supreme leader worship among the masses.

 People don't realise how hard it is to aim with a AR-style rifles for a target from 130s metre away with a precision of a few millimetres, even the best in the business will have a hard time in such a windy condition,given that Trump's life was at stake. Even if the rifle was 7.62mm/0.308 Winchester, no sane person will take a chance against his own life with a random 20y/o gunman pointing towards his head lol.
