I have 2.5 yoe in total, 1.5 in product. Was looking for a switch since Jan '24. Finally, an interview has been scheduled next week.

Now, I have no clue what they are gonna ask in interview. I can explain what have I done and all, but no clue about case studies or framework etc.

Would be great if someone could share their interview preparation strategy for product roles.

I see a lot of mock videos which covers your core product questions (product design, metrics, improvement etc) but I am curious on how to create product stories for the products that I worked on in my current job. What is the interviewer expecting when he asks about the products I worked on? How should I structure it?
This question is open for any product interviews where the candidate had a prior product experience.

Experienced product manager interviews

Do hiring managers not go ahead with a candidate if they feel intimated or feel the candidate is better than them?

You know you have answered most questions well but you get a rejection mail after 3 rounds of interview.

I am a PM with 4 YOE and have been applying for PM and SPM roles. However, have been facing rejections and the reason they say is my problem solving in case studies was not structured as we'd like.

Are there any experienced PM here who can help me with a few pointers on what the companies are looking at for such roles and if there are any resources that I can make use of to become better.

I’m a PM with 2yoe
Current CTC:  21LPA (plus 10 stocks, vesting schedule 4y)

InMobi: 28LPA (26.5 base + 1.5 in other compensations, stock match with similar vesting)
Razorpay: 30 LPA (2l perf bonus and stock match)

I’ve heard InMobi has a better culture over Razorpay. 
Any thoughts?

Interview Guide Needed

It was a red flag for me already. But they had a coding round(2nd) in their 4 round interview process. Stack was Haskell/typescript. Told them I didn't know the language, they told they will give the material to study.

Never heard PMs asked to code. Anyone had any similar experience before?

I have my Interview scheduled in a day for the first round which is going to be on "Product Thinking".

I have never prepared extensively for interviews and frameworks for PMs, being a PM myself :(

Can folks help me here for:

- Sharing their experience of the similar round or same company for a PM 1.

- What exactly will be asked in this round? Is it just going to be guesstimates and product cases? If so what kind of cases.

- Any resources which I can refer to to brush up in a day?

I have product strategy background.
In interviews i am able to ace product sense / product strategy questions but when it comes to tech, unable to show the required tech acumen (due to lack of actual exposure to it).

Should I just stay put in product / business strategy roles or move into product mgmt?

Reasons for moving into PM - want career and monetary growth, build tech stuff and not just strategise stuff. Have 6 yrs experience (2 yrs pre MBA data analytics+ 2 yrs business strategy + 2 yrs product strategy).
