Is 10K designers course worth it for someone with 3 YOE?
I don’t feel confident in terms of my skills as a product designer. I want to work on startups and I’ve seen folks from 10K joining companies like Cars24, Razorpay etc. I feel I need some guidance and mentorship with respect to how to think as a designer. Is the course worth it? If no, what’s the best alternative you’d recommend?

I have seen portfolios of many designers from 10k while hiring a product designer. I noticed a templatised way of showcasing projects without any understanding.
I have a few questions for you:
1. What kind of skills are you trying to upskill?
2. You’re at TCS which am sure has many experienced designers. Did you try reaching out to them for mentorship?
3. Does your company have a L&D program?
4. Have you tried mentorship portals such as ADPList?
Please don’t waste your money with 10k Designers. You’ll might better mentorship at work, from college seniors and friends.
1. I need to know the right process to be used .
When do you do a user journey and when you don’t. When you do create personas, how do you create it and and what do you gather from this process.
This is what I want .
I feel UI skills can be learnt by practising and experimenting. It’s basic .
What I lack is the thought behind the process.
Why do you need info architecture and what do you use it for? What’s the right method to create one?
2. I haven’t worked with any designers as I was working directly with the client. There, there were designers who guided me initially but couldn’t seek mentorship from them as they switched jobs later.
There are no designers in the workspace I work in. Hence there is no one to approach.
3. I have access to LinkedIn learning. All I can do is course. But I feel UX is contextual. No solution fits perfectly in the context. How can I think contextually with the info I gain from tutorials in LinkedIn learning.
4. Have approached a few. Have started to have regular calls with them. I usually showcase the work I have and ask tips from them. What I realised is the discussion will be only on the project I’ve worked . How can I expand my skillet beyond the project I’ve worked on?

This might answer your question
Have watched this video.
It honestly worries me.
Especially having around 4 years of ‘experience’ and still not having the skills that speaks about the years of experience.
Start from scratch bro...4 months back I was also at the same point after watching the video at absolute zero but then I figured out the shit on my own...Book consultation session on ADP list on an Topmate with good folks & switch to a product company in growth stage
