Is G in FAANG caste based in India?

I have been trying to get in to the G for a long time now. I even have applied abroad G but here I don't seem to get even a little response. It's not like they have ghosted my application. I felt that there is something fishy going on in G which no one is talking about. I also looked at the recent free annual meetings and eventhough I am fully qualified for such, the response is not as expected and I can literally see another guy who belongs to certain BLANK is attending the meeting.

What's really happening inside G in India?? Any inside info will help me not to look for offers from that company.

It's not just that but certain things like I said even for small meet-up they are having this resume shortlisted. And in that even certain people couldn't get in eventhough they match the requirements

Each application is discussed by all HRs in a meeting room . All type of filters are applied from educational background to experience to value to attitude etc and few applications remain and whenever they cannot filter any further - they deliberate to next level if that also fails - it is escalated to the head . The head takes a walk around the room -and asks only question “Jati kya hai “

I got interviewed by them and I could not clear the next round. But here I could not even get my resume in and just directly ghosted. That's why I am having this thought

I can tell you one example.

There are certain basic criteria for selecting one job. I am little bit above in certain requirements and for some I have double of the same requirement. I am not selected but when I see the guy who got selected, he didn't even satisfy all the basic requirement mentioned in the JD.

Instead of 1 yr experience, he got 3 months of experience with one stupid project and got in directly. That too in some faltu company.

Project is not that powerful enough and that project can be done within a week time. But he got interviewed atleast and got selected. And here I didn't even get my resume in. I got checked my resume with the resume checker and it resulted more than 80% and that guy's resume got only 40%

Projection takes different forms 😂🤦‍♂️ A guy from BLANK can't attend the meeting?

Maybe they discriminate based on the skin color even with all their nonsense "we don't discriminate" while having a DEI team. Wouldn't be surprised about that

I feel here in India they do it on caste. They're adopting according to geographical issue it seems. It's not only x allows resume of x and not y,z. Only x gets the job/meeting invitations even if they're below their requirements.

Its about regional nepotism, nothing else. A bengali will hire a bengali, a tamil will hire a tamil, and so on.

Is Google/FAANG still as sought after?

Contemplating between an offer at Google vs a Series A startup, in India, with similar pay.

I'm curious to know if Google as a name on the resume (or for future prospects) is still as big as it was maybe 5-8 years ago?

Or is India jus...
