Is Google/FAANG still as sought after?

Contemplating between an offer at Google vs a Series A startup, in India, with similar pay.

I'm curious to know if Google as a name on the resume (or for future prospects) is still as big as it was maybe 5-8 years ago?

Or is India just a low cost employee centre for them and it'll always be down-the-stream work, at the whims of middle/senior managers?

Do you have offers from both ?

If so go for a better team, both google and any other startup will have different types of teams and products which matters more in day to day work.

Longer term resume ya Googles brand value won't die. Also usually given Google culturally, wlb, quality possibly can be better.

Still, if impact and work being offered is better in startup with little bit higher pay than Google, will go for it.

Lastly while comparing offers remember google stocks are esops while a startup stocks will be rsu.
Hence, the startups cash part has to be significantly higher.
