Looking at so many layoffs at Google, Cloudflare and FAANG-type comoanies; that too in spite of having profitable quarters makes me think of FAANG is a curse instead of blessing? Anyone with similar thoughts?
Most layoffs are not even in India.
But market is bad for hiring. A lot of freshers are not getting places like they did pre-2023

Faang will be attractive in india. Wait till google opens their new office in Hyderabad and recruiters start springing up again. We are a very good cost centre with 4 times output at 1/4 the cost.
FAANG may have lost its charm in silicon valley, in India it will continue to enjoy the brand recognition until or unless they start mass firing thousands here.
