Is GrowthX a fad?
Been hearing a lot of chatter about how GrowthX isn’t as great as its advertised. Any truth to that? Is it really worth to pay that kind of money for a 8 week course and just for community?
Have received a quote that they charge close to 80K bucks. Do companies even recognise such programs during recruitment? Would love to hear your experience on the same.
Founders, Marketing Directors, Hiring Managers - What are your thoughts?
Their recognition beyond elite circle of Koramangala, Indiranagar, and HSR Layout is doubtful.
For 80K, I would opt for something from established universities.
Why would you say so? Any anecdotes?
Yes, there is, I was working at a company where a person was part of GrowthX cohort and it was considered to be a big thing by team mates.
But my other set of connections working in reputed agencies and large service sector companies do not even know GrowthX. They are all aware of folks like Digital Deepak and Neil Patel though.
GrowthX at the moment is known by a small set of people but this small set of people are high achievers.
Again, does this justify 80K pricing?
Only if your target companies are startups, then maybe it will get your resume noticed and one may even get first interview because of GrowthX tag.
Any place valuing a sham shop like this is not worth joining in the first place. Steer clear.
I really don't understand how can Tom, dick and Harry become a growth expert in x weeks. It's fine if it's a founder, product or business folks rest all there are for fun and status. Diversity brings in new perspective but that's shallow. Real world needs in depth conversations from people in trenches. It may be a good course to get started. Can't comment on the value.
P.S : didn't buy it when they started this at 24k. I amazed that price value they r charging now.
Let me put it this way. GrowthX is definitely overrated for people who have been in the related field for quite sometime and know how things work. On the other hand, it "looks" like a big savior for those who are aspiring to get into growth roles and have no idea how growth works.
I've attended a few Demo Day sessions and what was being discussed were very basic. To my shock, there were many folks who were already into growth roles and their Demo Day presentations too were lacking any depth!
I'm yet to attend that one Demo Day where I have some new takeaways out of it. I'm really thankful for my all work experiences and the mentors I've had.
Their deep dive into product strategy provided profound insights into my own strengths and weaknesses. I’ve learned more effective approaches to tackle product challenges, even though the process can be intense. Overall, it was rewarding

My profile - Fintech SPM (B2B) leading a new product (4-5 customers using it, still pre-PMF) in a Series A start-up.
Got an admit to GrowthX, but unsure if the application fee (₹75k) is worth it.
My main motives -
