With 1.5 years and decent DSA, you should deserve a lot more.

When I joined current company it had a huge learning opportunity and so I took pay cut because there were layoff all around in start of 2023 and I don’t want to compromise on learning and I thought that learning will help me to grow financially as well, but now I’m disheartened because same company has arround 15LPA base on glassdoor but they will give only 25% increment on base salary. 
 People who has half of my skills are earning quite well.

I have had enough of negotiations and they can’t go beyond 10LPA.
I’m decent at DSA and solved arround 500 problems on Leetcode.

Hello folks, I am working with a startup (now acquired by a big fintech) as FTE for 1.5 years now (Full stack dev) , my TC is 18 LPA (14.4 Fixed + Variable) in a permanent wfh model.

The reason I want to switch is that my tech team is very small (4 people) and there is no senior person in my team from whom I can learn something, thus my learning has become stagnant technical wise.

Graduated in 2021 have 2 yoe working in a b2b unicorn as sde-1, earning 20lpa fixed no esops. I made one switch last year. But now I realised I was learning more in my previous product company. Here most of the work is boring like writing repeated sql queries minor bug fixes and very little coding. 

Is 20lpa low as per industry standards for 2 yoe in bengaluru ?

Recently, I've completed 1 year into my role and my CTC is 16LPA. The company is a startup, and I've got ESOPs which are included in CTC.

It has been an year, and I'm thinking of making a switch. But still can't decide whether I should bet on ESOPs and stay, or get a higher pay and switch?

The company culture is pretty good, and it's a remote role, plus not much work load. :) 

But apparently, I'm worried if everyone else is making a switching companies with a 50% raise, why should I stick with 10% appraisal at a single company?

1 year into job, what to do next?

Hello guys, I did alot of DSA in my college time (Tier 3 college), I got the highest marks in my DSA sem exams in my class and my professor was impressed with me, I gave leetcode contests, learned DSA from YT and so on. 

I got placed in a decent company with a 7.5 LPA package (while my best friend, who hardly knew DSA got a SDET role in a startup with 40 LPA), now after 2 years my pacakge is 10 LPA, I want to switch to a better company with good pay, I restarted practising DSA again but everytime I get stuck in some question and not able to solve it, it feels like I am wasting my time.

While in my job, I learned Angular, TypeScript and frontend dev (which interests me more than DSA, but I am too lazy to make my own side projects)

what should I do? should I stick on to DSA even though sometimes I just feel like I am wasting my time solving some random question which doesn’t justify anything about me? or beat my laziness and make some side projects with the frontend skills that I have?

any advice would help me. Thanks in advance.

I had quoted a ctc, they have agreed with that ctc but now I think it's quite low (17.5 lpa fixed for 2.5 yoe). It's a startup. How do I negotiate it to more. I have an experience of 8 years and have not switched ever. Because of this my package is relatively low (~16 lpa) compared to peers in IT. I have a medical emergency at home and so my manager has allowed me to do wfh for a while and thats why I have been sticking in this company. I work with a south eastern gaint. Joined them just after college with around 19LPA for first year.. but they only gave 10% increment. Should I even try to switch given the market conditions? Its been exactly one year now. 

Work wise I think its okay. Not much work load and everybody is chill.
