Is the 60 days notice period too much?
Hi Folks I recently got an offer and the notice period over there is 60 days. In my past companies it was 30 days everywhere. Just wanted to know your opinion.
Government should create more strict labour laws atleast to save us from these corporates for the tax we generate to the government.
- 30 days notice period
- 40h work
- Severance package for layoffs
- No free internships
- Minimum wages
For everyone who works in any industry.
Bro we pay tax but corporates gives fund to the government on name of donation. They will do whatever is good for companies not for employees
@1899 - on a personal note, i do not prefer this sort of rules. If you know anyone in manufacturing, ask them how is life at shop floor. Manufacturing has labor unions and laws. factories will make sure you work the entire 40 hrs, . They will screw you till you drop. Every minute/second is tracked.
They usually place friendly people in the unions and control them. Atleast now, when ,market is good, we are able to jump faster and for better pay. We may stay in office for 12 hrs, but hardly work for 3 hrs.
I am working in TCS, notice period 90 days. Because of this I lost 2 good offers, one from the UK and another one from India.
I don't know what should I do..
If i resign without any offer, it will be a very huge risk.. and the offer that I get, they don't wanna wait for 90 days..
I understand your situation bro same for me but now I decided have to resign just to get calls or else you try buying out as @agilesinging said in below comment we can buy out.
Wasting time bro resign and then look
Bro we have 90 days here, 60 days toh fir bhi thik hai. Atleast people will consider you for interviews yaha toh call bhi schedule nhi hota
Same here. I heard for higher levels, it's even more due to confidentiality and other stuff in my company.
@YaboiMarley You mean more than 90 days ? Notice period? ðŸ˜
