My take on this:

1) They are management mouthpiece, no opinion of their own and cannot help in case an employee arises a concern.
2) They don’t reply to email or teams chat unless I add their manager in cc.
3) They dont have any answers to our question and instead ask us to talk to our reporting manager.
4) Recruiters are not HR.

I want to vent out on Indians HRs and the policy makers. Anyone would like to add to this?

Why are HRs adamant on dragging the whole company down.
Everything could be so great and perfect but then comes the HR 🤦🏼‍♂️. They have enough excuses to be stupid and everyone follows because some day they woke up and changed the policies as per their wish.
I hate them all !

Do you think HR roles have become a little toxic at the workplace in India. If you consider the HR policies and work culture abroad they are more employee centric. It's somewhere in the DNA of the HRs, I believe. Is the process of becoming an HR makes you like this or is it the work culture? I'm making this comment in general, some MNCs might be exceptions.

In this situation where a employer can hire and fire anyone anytime, why “moonlighting” or working part time, having a business, doing something of your own should be problem?

If a employer can dump their employees anytime then they have to look for themselves, they have life, expenses, dependencies.

This is a high time companies change their points on this in appointment letters and contracts.

What do you guys think?

Ghosting by HR is becoming increasingly common. This is not only for junior or middle level roles but also senior level. Talk to a prospective candidate and go to sleep. One more round and then go missing again. Repeat the process till the person starts to question the culture. And ya, when you wake up, expect the candidate to leave everything and respond..else, you will go ahead and open the position.

An HR from Infosys just contacted me on WhatsApp and asked about my details I told them I am comfortable talking on a call rather because I will explain better about my past job profile and other details and that shameless person showed attitude and blocked me.

HRs are worse than human beings and shameless they think people are there to satisfy their ego

Is it just me or roles for HR folks in the 0-3 years bracket have completely vanished? All openings I come across nowadays are 4+ YoE. 

And before one of you says “khud HR ho, khud ko hire karlo” 🫠 - wish it worked like that 🥲
