The board should hire a professional CEO

Lol... These professional CEOs are just another boot licking employee before.
How many times have you seen "professional ceos" turn around sick units that are without a solid foundation?
These professional ceos are mere paper pushers.
If the boards were so awesome why would they let things rot to this level anyway.

Not an expert, but just taking a series of wild guesses:
1. Convey to board that all growth projections will not be met and no growth target will be set for near future.
Because the aim now is to survive rather than mindlessly thrive.
2. Stop all blitz marketing campaign completely. No TV ads, no sports sponsorship, none of the bull**** done only to say we exist.
Divert all marketing spend to avenues where intent is extremely high, e.g., Search engine, Offline education shows, Content partnership with websites frequented by parents and children, etc.
3. Cut down sales force tremendously. No educational company should indulge in pushy sales tactics.
Instead invest in building in-house team of tutors whose only job is to answer all educational queries of target audience for free.
If the target audience wants answer real quick then a small charge can be levied.
