 Esops are really low. 1L that too over 4 years doesn't make sense.

Actually wfo (not even hybrid). I don't think they will entertain negotiation but I want to try. I think my interviews and interaction was pretty good. Are ESOPs value good enough? 1L for 4 years is kinda low? Don't you think?

21L base itself would put u in top 10% for ur yoe. So go for it

I’m considering joining as a founding engineer at an early stage startup who is just about to sign a $4M seed round.

They offered to match my current base and a $20,000 in ESOPs. 

When joining at such early stage companies, how should I think of ESOPs so that I can better negotiate. I’m banking on this idea going big and I want to get as much ESOPs as possible to maximise my returns in the future.

I am a fresher software engineer. I was an intern at a series A startup and they have offered me a pre-placement offer.

This is the breakup(Yearly):

Basic - 6L
HRA - 2.4L
Special allowance - 1.9L
Food allowance - 26.4K
Professional pursuit - 60K
Internet - 12K
Half yearly bonus - 50K

PF contribution - 2K

Total CTC - 12.5L

Apart from this, I've also been allocated 1000 ESOPs

Is there any scope of negotiation here? If yes, how do I go about it? 

Any advice/guidance would be very helpful!

Should I ask for a match or hike of X% over my TC/annum (52lk Base + 8lk Bonus + Rs30lk RSUs), or should I negotiate only over the Cash (Base + Bonus) component?

I have 6 years experience. My current base/fixed is 60 LPA. (I also got a 5 lakh bonus and 5 lakh of my ESOPs vested this year making my total vested about 30 lakh. So the total comp is 70). 

I'm being offered a senior engineer position in an early stage startup (as part of the founding engineer team). They haven't given an offer yet.

Being early stage, the emphasis will most likely be on ESOPs. How do I evaluate this and set my expectations? (If I were to switch to a mature company, I believe the hikes usually are between 15-20%? How does this work for early stage startups?)

I am currently working in a startup which pays 38lpa base and no stocks, no EPF. Plus point is complete work from home. So i accepted it. 
But then I am thinking if I was low balled, as I have 6 years experience including 2 other MAANG level companies i worked with (not exactly MAANG but nearby)
My previous compensation was 28 base and stocks of 7 lakh per year.
I didn't had any competing offer so accepted it.
I am planning to study DSA and system design to start applying again in one year.
Let me know your opinion.

Salary is 45 lpa and 12 lakhs of ESOP over 4 years . 

Only PM reporting to the CEO and we have doubled revenue in the last 12 months I have been here and contributing . 

I think I got low balled on the ESOP , appraisal discussions are around the corner and I would like to increase the ESOP 

What is the an average number ? 
Have seen the product folks report and 30lps seems to be the right number .

Hi, I got an offer from a Series B startup and they are giving me 3000 shares of ESOPs vested over 4 years. Right now the value of each shares are worth $5 and has a potential to grow after new funding rounds this year. I feel 3000 shares is less and want to negotiate for more. 

In your experience can anyone tell me how much ESOPs (shares) have you received from new startups? And was it benefecial in the long run?

Hi I am working in a pre-seed startup. The product is good and the industry has scope to grow. 
I am their first hiring, as well as the only Backend Engineer till now. I am about to complete 1 year.

Company's current valuation is 2M at 11% and I have recieved 5Lakh as Esops vested in 4 years in last year's CTC.

I want to negotiate for a direct equity handover apart from my ESOPS at Uniocorn valuation of the company with my CTO in coming months like 1% equity. I want to ask if anyone else had done such contract with their founders and negotiation tips to succeed with negotiation
