I’ve recently seen a lot of negative news about Bangalore

I am a middle class guy working as a senior engineer in one of the product companies. I belong from the north-east, and I am the only child in my family. Since covid, I was working in a wfh setup. Recently, my company has ended work from home for everyone, and I am supposed to move to Bangalore very soon or quit. I am an active user on all social media groups on Reddit, Fb, etc. For the past couple of months after seeing so much of negative news about Bangalore, Especially the high population, skyrocketing rents, the auto unions, corruption, cut-throat competition, discriminative news, traffic issues, etc. It makes me nervous to be honest. My wfh here was pretty chill, and I had a very limited social circle here, but was satisfied since I could spend most time with my mom and dad. Im very afraid now about what should I do next, shall I quit the job and search for wfh, or shall I make my move. I don’t have any acquaintances there, no friends, no idea about what I’ll be doing next, how to start house hunting, or job hunting. At this point I am miserable and overwhelmed to think about all of this. Anyone who has gone through all of these, If you can share your 2cents, experiences or thoughts, about how you dealt this phase. It will be really helpful for me at this point in my journey. Hello, I have 5yoe at big4, currently working from my hometown. However recently I received an offer for a product company (pre-sales) which needs me to relocate to Bangalore. The hike is good 45% but considering the CoL I might just be saving 10-15k more per month than I do now. So, my question is, is it worth joining the product firm and relocate?

I have got two offers, One from MathCo (Data Analyst) Bang location, other is Accenture (ASE) Pune location. Salary wise almost same only mathco gives 20% you hike. Which to join? My current location is pune so savings wise Accenture is better option but roles wise mathco is giving data science role. So bit confused which path to choose?

This water shortage thing in Bangalore is pretty depressing. There is an extreme shortage of water but no one on this planet seems serious about it. People are busy making memes around it , poking political parties , blaming the government. The government is blaming other governments and that's it. Imagine there were 280 lakes in the city now there are only 15. Imagine once Lalbagh and cubbon park were connected and there were elephants living there. How can a random land mafia dry up the lake and build stupid buildings illegally purely for their profits? They will profit from it but whose resources they took? Nature's resources that were meant for everyone. That land mafia must be chilling in Atlantis hotel in the rooftop swimming pool and here we are drying up. In the end , only the one sitting at the top would benefit from it and the one who will suffer is common person and they are still not realising how badly they will suffer in future. If you don't have water what are you going to drink? 500 2000 notes smoothie? No amount of money can give water. These land mafias and politicians will import fresh water for their families to drink after depleting Indian resources. What are you going to do ? And then this government brings CAA law to bring more people to our country where the existing citizens don't have enough resources. WAKE UP SAVE INDIA FROM POLITICIANS. Anyway , this is not a propaganda post against any political party because all parties are at the end corrupted, they will exploit everything to make money and then safeguard their family by sending them in foreign countries. The one who will suffer is us.

I recently got an offer and am planning to move to Gurgaon. I was trying to find an opportunity in Bangalore because I love this place, or maybe it’s just change I detest. But nothing worked out and here I am. Has anyone made the same move? Or maybe vice versa? Which place do you think is better and why?

I am a fresher 2023 graduate and have been doing this (applying for jobs) for almost a year, everyone said you have to do internships as it is necessary so did 2 internships one for a year and another for 6 months but apparently no one counts internships as experience even jobs that had 1-3 yoe as requirement and now everyone's hiring 2024 grads as freshers (I tried to look for another internship but there were none during the time of placements). I am now tired of this field, many full stack devs don't know shit outside Javascript world and many of them can't even use tools like git properly and are so cocky of themselves. Saw an SDE on twitter who apparently has 6 years of experience, doesn't even know how to configure multiple SSH and says managing multiple ssh is a downside. A women dev (cause in India you have engineers and female engineers apparently) doesn't know about sidebar cache and calls it a bug and she's in google. and If I try to roast these people with my real name there's a whole cabal of Banglorians who will grab their macbooks inside third wave coffee and start tweeting against me after aggressively drinking their Chocolate mocha frappe. Just go into any random tech twitter space no one seems to be talking about tech it's always about DSA, interviews, LIFE IN BANGLORE, which cafe they visited. I let myself believe tech was my passion and worked hard for but Indian techies and companies are worst, this generation thinks they are better than their predecessor but follow the same politics everywhere even when it comes to Tech communities (who tf does politics in a community that produces open source code wtf). They talk about networking and creating a community all the time but can't even respond to linkedin cold dm and blame the sender by nitpicking about the format 👏👏 and then they'll go on post the screenshot and rant how it's the sender fault to even try to network with them with a message that isn't written from their own blood.

Came down from Delhi NCR for just two days. Everything here was sub par. Weather, traffic, offices, food, you name it
