i accept infra wise bangalore is much worse. But NCR is worse in literally every other aspect. weather, food, people, safety. I'm neither from Bangalore or NCR so i have no personal stake in the game. Just talking from my experience of spending around 18 months each in both places

also, traffic is worse due to excess immigration. If you'd seen this place even before covid, you'd never want to leave. The nightlife, the gardens, the food, the MOST WONDERFUL weather, and lots of art. IT worker bees sucked the life out of this place

There was a balance. If you're going to talk about underdeveloped, I'd rather have that over not even being able to take a breath of fresh air in my own home. You give so much hate to something that wouldn't give you the same in return. Why waste your emotions like that. Be kind whenever you can, and really try giving this wonderful place another chance. Visit lalbagh, visit the Bangalore palace, go at 5AM to cubbon park or get a pass to the Sunday dog park. Have a drink at Bob's bar, eat butter Dosa at Rameshwaram Cafe and idli at Veena in malleshwaram. It's a delicate fusion of all the wonderful things you'd experience, and well you're an outsider so less chances you'll understand what I'm talking about.

I honestly feel those of us who live in the IT corridor of bangalore - Bellandur, Sarjapur Rd, Marthahalli etc find bangalore awful. But I have heard and experienced lovely things about the city living in areas that are on the other side - HSR, Kora, Indira nagar, JP Nagar etc.

Depends on your crowd. Weather's fucked everywhere, and this is the worst heat bangalore's experienced in DECADES, and somehow still manageable. As I said, get in with a better crowd. Ones who actually know how to after party after an after party

B'luru > Delhi, NCR apart from the weather, the city's young and hence more conducive for growth. People from north (including me) may dislike the food, but it is a taste acquired over time. traffic is equally worse in both ends of the spectrum. City generally safer, cleaner and forward looking. B'luru doesn't feel like a city drunk on absolute power unlike NCR.

It would be dumb, if not shameful, for anyone to make a generic comment/statement on a world renowned city (for many good things) claiming it suck at everything! Or any city for that matter. A wise one would consider the climatic conditions, political situation, governmental inefficiencies, etc., to make an informed decision about one’s opinion. At the end of the day, it is a free world, everyone is entitled to voice their thoughts. No harm done; no offence taken.

Moved to Bangalore a few months back. I've lived in Delhi NCR, Maharashtra, West Bengal, UP, Punjab but Bangalore just doesn't give me homely vibes. Everyone in Bangalore is so busy in hustle that there are very less number of cafes joints around office areas to hang out . People just go to office and come back. Others may enjoy corporate meetings and parties. But there's a limit for me.. Any suggestions on what can I try to explore or do here? Vegetarian+ Non drinking habit is adding on difficulties to already a very limited thing I can do. I
