Just do it 💪

I either see folks who build startups in college or right after it, or people who build in their early-mid thirties, and regret having done so earlier. Please feel free to share your takes on what is the right time to do it?

I am 27, and I have a well paying job in Bangalore. I want to quit this job and try my hands on entrepreneurship. I feel like I can do much more than what I am currently doing and have a more fulfilling life this way. Unable to see a lot of risks I have a 2 yr runway with savings. Parents don't have financial dependency. If everything fails I can restart my life in the next 1-2 years. Looking for perspectives and things I should consider before taking this step.

What is that one piece of advice you’d give your younger self or someone who’s starting off now after working for a few years. Mine would be that despite the hunger to prove yourself always take the time off to enjoy your success both personally and with people close to you. Time is something you’ll never get back.

I wanted to write something I'm proud of, something I truly believe in. But my chaotic mind won't let me. I asked myself why I struggle to be present. My brain answered, 'Because your brain doesn't want it.' Am I overthinker? We often label ourselves as overthinkers, introverts, extroverts, and so on. But are we really just those labels? We shouldn't confine ourselves to these labels for comfort. We are limitless. Next time you want to talk to someone, just go for it. Don't make excuses like 'I'm an introvert and I don't like talking to strangers.' It's not really you speaking; it's just that part of you that prefers staying in its comfort zone. Take the leap. We only have one life. Remember to live it to the fullest. Wrote something after a long time. Enjoy it.

Have u ever resigned without any offer in hand? If yes what was the reason and how things went ahead??

I don't know if this post would make sense, but does anyone ever wish they were less? Less competent, less "bright", less "smart"? I'm not being braggy but I am pretty smart (not book smart but smart smart) and while objectively I am doing pretty good, I just constantly feel like I'm not living up to my fullest potential! Should I be on the lookout for a better job (the present one is fine) or preparing to study more or, I don't know, to scale and scale? It feels like everyone has such high expectations of me and I hate making mistakes, even if it is a typo in a document The anxiety that I'll never live up to my potential becomes so crippling, it becomes counter productive and like Dr. Strange, I forseen like a 100 different possible outcomes of every decision because I can't seem to turn my brain off! Ignorance is bliss and I so wish I could be ignorant

I've always been someone who's had to think well before I spoke. Unless it's something I'm very well aware of (ex: my day to day work), I take time, first to make up the words in my head and then deliver. This delay, is something I want to work on. If you've been in my place at some point, what made you change; and improve on your communication? I don't think this is hindering my abilities at work, but it certainly does - in connecting with new people and in all the non-work comms.

Just putting it out there. If you quiet quit and decide to focus on finding another job. If you have other priorities like fitness, family or other things that are more important to you than advancing in your career. Whatever your situation is, breathe. But do not procrastinate or lose hope if some interview or anything doesn't go well. Consistency compounds. Remember that.
